A bit of background. he is a rescue dog, he was attacked by other dogs and nearly killed. A rescue group picked him up and treated him, then we collected him as our family pet. We are not sure of his age, when we got him, he was just finishing teething, making him about 1 year old, he is a mongrel. His appearance is that of a German shepherd, except that he is a dark sandy colour all over and his tail sticks up.

His personality is one that fits well with the previous German shepherds that I have had as pets before. He normally does his toilet outside as he likes to mark his territory, but occasionally in the back garden when he is a bit urgent. He suffers from acute defensive/aggressive behaviour (lots of things scare him, and when they do he will attack).

We have had him for 2 years now, and he sometimes has active dreams, occasionally waking up scared as though he has had a nightmare (He is a highly intelligent dog, so I would not be too surprised if he has had nightmares, but there is no real way to know).

This week, however, we have noted him having active dreams 3 times (more often than normal). On 2 occasions he has wet the bed, the third occasion he got up with a sudden start and ran outside whining and refused to come back inside the house.

I am wondering if anyone has a similar experience to this, and knows a way to sooth my dog, or if we can help with the problem (we can't just stroke him every time, or we would not get any sleep ourselves).

I currently have 32GB ram and 8GB VRAM, but I did require a hardware upgrade to be able to play this game and the graphics and game are simply stunning, not one byte of RAM is wasted, it is all used fully.

So I was wondering if there are any other games out there yet with requirements like this so that I can explore what else my PC can do.

My wife has a Galaxy S5 phone, and it has started using the battery quickly and running hot, even on standby. At one point, the battery went from 57%, to 17% in an hour without being touched.

We have tried... Opening the program manager to close any open programs.

Restarting the phone.

Installing AVG virus scanner, followed by some others on Playstore and found no virus with any of them.

Any ideas what is causeing it? Or how to stop it happening?

Sometimes it works, sometimes it disappears, other times it tells me it needs to be formatted. I have windows 7, with several spare hard drives, one (3TB) is struggling. I am pretty savvy with computers, I built the one I am using 3 years ago, and have kept it up to date, yet I have a problem with one internal hard drive, not sure if it is failing, or if it is a software problem or a power problem (unlikely, I think).

When the drive disappears, it cannot be found on device manager, but when it asks for format, it can be found easily, and accessed.

Any ideas?

using a LED monitor on my pc and experiencing a flickering screen, I have tried many different things to fix this issue and it seems that as themonitorr is using the "Generic PnP display" driver, this may be causing the problem and that I should update this to a "Generic digital display" driver (as my monitorr is made by Topcon it will be impossible to find the correct driver for this device).

any help would be appreciated, thanks

My monitor flickers to a black screen on a regular basis, I have googled to death but found no help.

Details: Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit, 16gig ram, Pentium core i7 3770k processor

Geforce Gt 640 2gig graphics card. 2 monitors (1 32inch led tv, topcon, 1 19 inch lcd, also topcon, same model)

large tv shows no flicker, only smaller monitor, refresh rate is locked at 60Hz

have replaced graphics card and monitor (previous monitor was lcd, same problem), previously used VGA input, now DVI, all cables secure and monitor is brand new.

Oh and my mobile phone is well away from the monitor lol.

Hi, I am an ex chef and now a kindergarten teacher and I have been asked by my school to find some recipes for the kids to cook in school, but I am finding it difficult because of constraints.

1. The lesson will be no longer than 30 minutes (15 minutes of this will probably be spent trying to calm children, putting on aprons and washing hands etc), but I can prepare items before hand (such as weighing items and portions), but the children must do the core part of the recipe

2. There must be NO COOKING, absolutely no heat whatsoever and nothing potentially dangerous.

3. Recipes must be very simple, as the children do not use english as a first language and I am their english teacher primarily, therefore lessons will be in english.

any good ideas out there at all? I need to prepare at least 6 more than I already have as I have lots already, but need to cover 1 lesson per week of cooking.

I have recently got a new computer and pulled out the hard drives from my old pc, the main drive worked fine but the second one failed a few days before I got my new pc.

Installing the older drives into my new pc I have found a problem (main drive works fine as a slave still), the second drive seems to still not work. BIOS sees the drive but windows wont recognise it (although it shows up in the device manager, and can tell me it's properties, it wont access the drive)

I am hoping I can format it and all will be well but windows wont let me do it and in BIOS I don't know how to. But i would prefer to access and repair the drive without loss of information if possible. anyone able to help at all?

My pc is old and was 256 meg ram when i bought it, it has since had a second chip put in. now i wish to remove one of these chips and put in a 512meg chip to upgrade to 768meg of ram, but i do not know what chip to buy.

Is there any way my PC can tell me without opening it up before I buy it? or if i do need to open it up, what would I be looking for?

i answered a question last night and i thought i did a good job, in fact someone else wrote "Richard W is right", but did i get best answer? no, he got it for agreeing with me and cause he has the word "frog" in his user ID.

i know it is the askers choice who they pick as best answer but this has happened a lot of times now.

additional: people who give wikipedia answers too, they do not even know what they are talking about, just how to use a search engine, and do not realise that wikipedia is OFTEN WRONG because it is not a factual site, but one that is run by users entering their own information (e.g. conservative MP's changing someones birthday only last week so they could win an argument)

according to Graham Stringer MP dyslexia is a "cruel fiction" made up by incompetent teachers as an excuse for poor teaching methods.

i am dyslexic, and also dyspraxic. i am not illiterate, i can actually spell quite well, but my memory is useless lol

well question is obvious of course, but if there is a god and he wanted us all to believe, wouldn't he show himself to all of us? not just to one random nut here and there who most people already thought was crazy (good example is book of mormon, another is jehovas witnesses)

but why should i burn just because i do not believe in your god? shouldn't my life's deeds show me the way to heaven?

for that matter if the "true" religion turned out to be for example catholic, why should protestants burn? etc

why should my belief (from the intelligence that god gave me) cause me to burn in hell if god gave me free will?

i am not after people telling me i am wrong, this is in the bible exodus 34:13-28 it states clearly the 10 commandments

1 thou shalt worship no other god

2 thou shall make thee no molten gods

3 the feast of unleavened bread thou shalt keep

4 six days thou shalt work but on the seventh thou shalt rest

5 thou shalt observe the feast of weeks, of the firstfruits of the wheat harvest, and the feast of ingathering at the years end.

6 thrice a year shall all your men and children appear before the lord god

7 thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leaven

8 neither shall the sacrifice of the feast of the passover be left unto the morning

i wonder why these are different from the quoted commandments. where did it change? why did it change? and why do we not quote these commandments?

i understand that in christian beliefs god is the ultimate judge of your life, but answering someone elses question gave me my own.

if somebody is sent to the chair, or spends time in prison to pay for crimes they have committed on earth, thier crimes are payed, they may or may not feel guilty for what they did.

how would god judge them? as people who paid for their crimes or as people who sinned? (gotta give me a star for that question lol)

i still find farts funny, i don't know why, i am 26 but it still makes me laugh when i see a dog surprised by his own gust of wind with that expression on his face that says "wtf was that?" or sometimes "it wasn't me"

i have read the bible, and i am neither christian nor atheist, but i am a theist. the bible teaches us that the earth is 6000 years old, dinosaurs are never mentioned, that evolution cannot possibly exist even though you can actually see it in old buildings where door frames are lower because people where shorter (shows we are still evolving now). with so many clear mistakes in the bible, how can you believe any of it?
