if your crimes are paid for on earth are you still sent to hell?
i understand that in christian beliefs god is the ultimate judge of your life, but answering someone elses question gave me my own.
if somebody is sent to the chair, or spends time in prison to pay for crimes they have committed on earth, thier crimes are payed, they may or may not feel guilty for what they did.
how would god judge them? as people who paid for their crimes or as people who sinned? (gotta give me a star for that question lol)

When one sins before man, then man will inherently deal with him/her through punishment, once that is paid in full, said person is absolved and set free (jail, fines, comm. service, etc.).
but if that sin overlaps with what God considers sin and it offends him, then even if one has paid his debt to society, one must still be absolved of sin by God. For man is not equal to God, therefore neither is the payment for sin.
So, God would still require repentance before him and if done the right way (with an honest and humble heart) then all will be forgiven and salvation granted to all who seek it.

It would depend how their heart was before God. It he is truly repentant and throws himself on the mercy of God in prayer I feel sure that God might be able to forgive.
Jesus is our mediator, as the Scriptures tell us, presenting our cause to his Father. For Jesus was subject to human temptation although he did no sin.
We are told that if we should judge ourselves we should not be judged.
We must be critical of our weaknesses and strive to do better. Just thinking about it isn't sufficient.
Do you still not understand the word 'hell' after all this time? Hell, basically is the grave, the only 'hot' one is from the word Gehenna. Why? Because that was the place outside the walls of Jesusalem where the rubbish of the city was thrown and burnt. Sometimes, it is said, they threw the dead bodies of those who had been crucified and who were unclaimed. I believe this is the 'hell' which Jesus was illuding to and it would be vivid in peoples minds.

They only paid for their crime against man, but the penalty for breaking God's law is far greater, the wages of sin, which is lawlessness, is death. Eternal punishment is the payment for sinning against a holy and righteous God. He did not even spare His own Son, Jesus Christ bore the wrath of God, He became sin and was punished under God's holy righteous anger for the sins of His people.
The penalty for sin is so severe that the Son of God became a man, humbled himself and lived righteous before God his whole life to become the sacrifice for sinners, for any who will believe on Him.

Hell, a place of eternal damnation and punishment, is not a Biblical teaching.
It is a pagan teaching which was amalgamated into several of the churches to further control the masses.
Scriptures that are used to support the doctrine of such a place were twisted by their apostate church leaders at its origins.
God is love, and would never subject any of his creation to such a punishment.
God will judge sinners at the appointed time. Imperfect human courts are not fit to cast fair judgements

Good question.
No one who dies goes to Heaven or Hell.
Every human being will be resurrected and judged accordingly by God Himself.
Those who (chose to do good works and will have repented of their sins and transgressions) will be Resurrected to a happy eternal life on Earth or an eternal condemnation and damnation (those that chose to do evil and refused to repent).
Can you see why God is such a great and magnanimous supernatural being...who loves us.

It doesn't matter. Just because man does their time for their crimes. Doesn't mean they won't pay for their sins. Because the crime they did was against man. And they still have to answer to God about it.

well that depends on if you repent, donty forget that jail and police and courts are all man made so you might have paid on earth but unless you seek forgiveness from God and are sorry for your crime then you will go to hell and pay

We can't pay for our own sins, no matter what we do here on earth.
Jesus is the way the truth and the life no one enters into Heaven except through Jesus Christ.

Unless they repent and aknowledge Jesus as Christ, unfortunately the Christian belief is that they are doomed to hell.
