cuba and iraq, why invade one and not the other?

well, without mentioning the obvious oil haha

fidel castro today celebrates 50 years of communism, in his fine underfed country. and of course, this leaves me thinking why cuba has not been invaded as he is also a murderous dictator, possibly worse than saddam (please no spouting off about how evil saddam was, as fidel castro hung the body of a dead prisoner in his airport to discourage tourism)

Update:

there was no "true" holocaust in iraq, and fidel (although he has had longer to do it) has killed or exiled more of his own people than saddam ever did

Update 2:

without mentioning oil, so far i have had a lot of small reasons, none of which could hold up in a proper argument (nuclear power, WMD, sound familiar? can someone give me a proper reason? or is the easy answer the only one?

Invasion of Cuba = war with Russia. Possibly China also. It would unite communism. The only reasonable solution was to apply economic pressure on them after the "Bay of pigs" invasion didn't work. And we almost went to nuclear war because of Cuba/USSR relations

Why ask a question as if the world makes sense? It is crazy out there.

The USA organised an invasion of Cuba - and it back-fired.

This went on to be a contributory factor, if not the primary factor in taking the world to the brink of nuclear war.

There have been and still are very many "murderous dictators" around the world. (Pinocet in Chile) This has nothing to with whether they are invaded or not.

Easy, there's no oil in Cuba. Also, Castro didn't make an assassination attempt on Bush SR. , so that leaves the Bush family with no personal grudge against him.

if you read the truth cuba has one of the finest NHS in the world,it!s children are educated free,it may not be the richest country but at least they are proud of their country unlike the greedy brits, when the american crooks run the country under bastita all the people had nothing,at least they have the right to control their own country, the american leaders like kennedy who spent most of his time with his willy in his hand took upon themselves to teach cuba and castro a lesson, where is kennedy, and his ilk now, castro is one of the longest serving leaders ever, learn your history

Actually, the US tried to invade Cuba, turned into a huge embarrassment.

Cuba already has Venezuela to replace the former USSR for oil.
