To the people who complain about me and some of my answers and to any one reading this: I've always been straight up with my answers and I love the fine art of scarcasm <note its not meant to hurt, I just use it to make a point with a twist of humor... and to those who say you can't be scarcastic and straight up at the same time... well it can be done and it has a lovely, comical effect... spend enough time around me and you'll pick it up too :D >, but I always say what I mean, its not meant to hurt anyone I'm just calling it as I see it. I love how people twist my words around and how it gets everyone so rialed up... actually I find it to be rather amusing. I just wish people would start reading all the way through at least one of my answers and actually pay attention to what they read. I love humor and always welcome a good laugh. Most people would be surprised but I'm actually here to help and when I give an answer I do my best to do so... but just remember I call it as I see it

  • how is this possible?

I've been losing inches and gaining some weight... I don't work out, I have a job that requires me to move a lot but isn't hard labor.

I eat about 2 meals a day with maybe a snack, I know I'm right around 2000 calories... and I can't think of anything else to add that may help.

So am I about to gain a bunch of inches? What do I expect? Is it something to worry about? I went from a size 16 back to a size 12 and I'm hoping to get back to a 10 but with everything said I don't think it's likely to happen any time soon.

Please don't get after me for not working out, I've had a slipped disk in the past and too much bending and what not will throw my back out I'll be out for a week. And please forgive me for being a health "dunce" I just don't know.

  • Odd angel fish behavior?

I have a 20 gal tank with angel fish, one of them has started laying on the bottom of the tank, actually I thought he was dead. Another fish bumped him as I was getting the net and he moved. I quarantined him and he is doing just fine. The odd thing is he does this at feeding time. I had a gold fish growing up that would play dead like this when he was hungry and he lived for several years with no issues to speak of. Is this just a way to say hey feed me like our gold fish many years back or is there something else I need to look for?

I always siphon the water, keep up with the filter,ph, water heater, etc. and have been keeping aquarium fish for years, just never kept angel fish before now... Thanks

  • cat will not stop vomiting?

my cat has been power eating and then minutes later throwing up. He use to do this occasionally but now it has gotten to the point that it is happening all the time between 2-4 times a day. He is power eating, throwing up then eating like he hasn't seen a good meal in weeks and and hour or so later throwing up again, and repeat. He isn't lethargic or acting any different. I only noticed it since the pug figured out how to crawl up on the cat condo. I am wondering if that he is either just upset that his condo has been compromised by an over zealous pug or if it is something more serious. Would like thoughts and ideas on how to make him stop vomiting.

    Thank you!!!

  • Does this sound like a spider or bug bite or something else?

Two days I felt like something bit my foot but didn't think too much of it because I didn't see anything and after a even after a few hours there was no swelling or anything. Well today I start walking and that foot is in mortal pain every time I step down and it's just getting increasingly worse as if someone has jabbed a knitting needle in it. Where I felt the bite there is a little red mark and it's a little swollen and only has one mark. Any idea of what it could be and if it is an insect or spider what sort of spider or insect it is. I'm in Georgia if that helps. Thanks in advance

  • Why is it when it is perfectly clear that Obama wants to crush the nation people still support him?

And why do people still deny it even though it is clear in his books that he wants to take down America and see this country on its knees?

Ok for people who don't believe that he is wanting to crush the nation then why did he create Obama care, this clearly killed the economy (lets not forget taxes) and employers are now afraid to hire more people because of the out of pocket expenses from the bill

If Obama really cares about this nation then why doens't he let us drill our own oil, lets forget the fact that this will bring more jobs and boost the economy but it will take what power the middle east has over us as far as gas prices.

If Obama really cares about the nation then why does he not make it harder to get on welfare? For all the people sitting at home mooching off the government when they are (most are, I am not saying everyone that is on welfare is a mooch, but there are more people abusing it then really need it) abled bodied people that can work just like you and me.

If he really cares about this country then why does he insist on bail outs? Especailly when he knows that this will raise our debt even higher. People forget the time when businesses went bankrupt other people would buy them out and keep the business running.

Do I need to give more examples?

  • What do you think, is this something to worry about?

My guinea pig (squeaker) is spending all his time sleeping and has become a bigger glutton then normal. Normally he wants to run around and have fun. Now all he wants to do is sit in my lap when he is out of the cage when normally I cannot get him to sit still. I cannot put him with the second guinea pig (jerry) because he is very aggressive and they had a bad falling out. Is squeaker depressed or lonely or is age catching up with him? I've noticed that he is putting on weight and I am concerned I made sure he wasn't sick and the vet said no and is concerned about the recent weight gain. Is there anything to worry about? I mean he seams to be happy but what's with the drastic changes? I know my shift has changed quite a bit so we cannot hang out as much as normal, could this have anything to do with this? Thanks

  • please help!!! Will my guinea pig be ok?

I was carrying my guinea pig down the stairs he got spooked by the dog who just ran up the stairs and jumped out of my hands and fell and hit 6 stairs plus the landing and hit his head and back on the front door and started convulsing. My sister checked his spine and said she heard a "pop" sound when she touched it. He is walking around his cage now <about an hour after the fall> but very slowly and seems to have full function of his legs but when I pet him he starts squealing! I would take him to the vet but there isn't one any where near where I'm living that knows how to treat guinea pigs. Is there anything I can give him for pain? And how can I insure he's alright?

  • Help with oblique nib?

I was given an oblique pin for christmas and all the nibs work save for the size 103 <speed-ball> I dip it in ink and try writing and it just isn't working. I've tried different angles amts of pressure and nothing.

I've just started learning copperplate and I'm not sure if I'm doing anything wrong but its really frustrating. Again all the larger nibs work just fine.

    Thanks in advance :)

  • guinea pig oweners does your guinea pig do this?

Last night one of my guinea pigs Jerry spent over half the night taking the wire off his water bottle <the bottle was full, I had filled it that night> when I got up the bottle was on the floor and it took me a while to find the wire because he had it sitting on top of his food bowl. I put it all back together and he took it off again and I caught him playing with the clip. I made sure he has plenty of things to do in his cage when I'm at work so its not like he's bored or anything.

Why is he doing this? and for guinea pig owners does your guinea pig<s> do anything odd like this?

  • my guinea pigs won't stop fighting please help?

I adopted a new guinea pig today, is name is Jerry. He was abandoned by his previous owner. He is really sweet and full of personality. I had Squeaker with me when we got Jerry and they got along instantly.

Squeaker and Jerry were getting along all day, considering their little dominance hash. But now Jerry won't quit picking at Squeaker, and this is like the 3rd fight I broke up, they won't stop chattering and showing their teeth. I've tried to break it up giving them spinach and that worked for a while but the tension is still high.

How can I get these two to calm down and get along.

I can't separate them for the night because the spare cage is in storage about 900 miles away.

What can I do? Is this normal, will it stop?

    Thanks to all in advance

  • odd grafted cactus question Please read?

my mom has a grafted cactus <a little red cactus ball on top of a green cactus> well the red part died and now almost over night the green part has three arm looking things that grew out of it and it looks like its starting to grow an appendage on one of the arms. My sister and I think it looks cool but my mom hates it.

Is this normal? Why is it happening? Will it keep growing like this? Thanks in advance

  • How can I prevent this from happening again?

I had to leave this morning to fix one of my clients computers. When I got back home I found my guinea pig lying on his side and he seemed out of it like he was swimming in and out of consciousness. I petted him to make sure he was ok and he didn't start pop corning or lick my hand and he felt hot to the touch. I drew him a cool bath and he finally came out it. I am sure it was heat stroke but that doesn't make sense because before I left I gave him fresh water and veggies and I always keep the room at about 70 ish degrees.

I've been keeping a close eye on him and he seems to be ok, he's playing with his favorite teddy bear and is fully alert. I am ready to rush him to the vet if I notice any sudden changes.

Please tell me my little angel will be ok. and if it wasn't heat stroke then what was it??

  • Clothing store please read?

I am about to get an interview with a high end clothing store. I just moved and needed a job so I applied. Thing is, as dumb as it sounds, I don't really know anything about fashion <my idea of "style" is a tank top and shorts/pants>. Ok so my question is: so I don't sound as dumb as I'm sounding now in the interview <or while working, provided I get the job> can someone give me a quick crash course.

Thanks to all in advance :)

  • Guinea pig question please read?

Squeaker is finally settling in after the move and getting over his separation anxiety <well for the most part he is still having occasional panic attacks if I leave the room>. I noticed that he isn't sleeping in his pigaloo any more and just sleeping by his food bowl. He has been doing this alot lately. Is it anything to worry about? Or is it just because its a little warm in my room?

  • How to help my guinea pig get over his seperation anxiety?

Since I was in the middle of a move I left my guinea pig with my dad for a week, when Squeaker was in my dad's care he became really violent <trying to bite and scratch my dad when he fed him and when he tried to pet him>. Since I finished with the move Squeaker has been really upset like he would freak out if I left the room for even a second <he starts screaming>. I try giving him floor time all he does is hop in my lap <he doesn't want to run around or anything like normal> and he acts like he has no energy and spends the time when he's not begging to be held sleeping.

I know my dad didn't do anything to hurt him and he is in perfect health but this is awful to watch. Is there anything I can do to help him feel better?

    Thanks in advanced :)

  • Help please read guinea pig emergency?

I live in a 3 story apartment building, the pipe in the ceiling from the apartment upstairs busted. The water is almost all gone but no matter what I do I cannot keep up with the mold. No matter how many times I bleach the walls the next day the mold grows back. Its the worst in my computer room. My room is the second worse that's where my little guinea pig lives. I've got him in the living room now, but there is no real escape for him. It is really hard for me to breathe so I can only imagine how hard it is for my little guy to breathe. I have all the windows open but its still bad.

How can I protect my little guy while I fight this mold problem? The last thing I want is for him to get

    sick or worse.

    Please answer, thanks in advance

  • How is my guinea pig doing this??? Please read?

I've got a bag of treats that I keep more then a foot away from my little guy's cage. There is absolutely no way he can reach them or escape but almost every day after work I will find a treat in his cage even though I haven't given him any. I live alone so there is no one to slip them in his cage. But how is he doing this? Its not like he's hungry, I feed him twice a day and always give him fresh veggies. But this is a little weird.

All ideas welcome thanks in advance.

  • Question about bedding for my guinea pig... please answer.?

What sort of wood do they use in America's choice bedding? I just got a bag of it from the local general store that generally sells aspen bedding but I just noticed that it didn't specify on the bag what kind it is so how do I tell? It doesn't smell like pine or anything but I don't want to kill my little guy he's already been through a lot the past few weeks and I don't want to kill him or cause him any <more> problems.

    Thanks
