Guinea pig question please read?
Squeaker is finally settling in after the move and getting over his separation anxiety <well for the most part he is still having occasional panic attacks if I leave the room>. I noticed that he isn't sleeping in his pigaloo any more and just sleeping by his food bowl. He has been doing this alot lately. Is it anything to worry about? Or is it just because its a little warm in my room?
I would get my little guy a friend but he isn't big on sharing attention and will attack another guinea pig if he sees I'm paying attention to it <he does the same with my mom's chichuahua>. Heck he will even attack his own reflection in the mirror lol

Well it is summer and he might get warm in the pigloo what i do is my mom makes them little beds with fleece and they love them!.. We have huge cages for a little piggies :)

Nothing to worry about. Though differences in behaviour can sometimes mean that something is physically wrong with the pig, I doubt that this is one of those cases. Sometimes they just feel like switching up their routine every once in a while :o) But if you notice that he is eating more or less than normal, this could mean that something is wrong. So keep an eye out! :o)

Why don't you just get him a friend?
Guinea pigs should always be kept in pairs or groups(same sex or altered) in a cage with at least 7.5sq ft on one level and daily floor time/handling, to be happy and healthy.
They should have unlimited access to fresh water(no Vit C drops) and grass hay available at all times, 1/8-1/4 cup of plain guinea pig pellets(no coloured bits, nuts, seeds, or dried veggies) and 1 cup of fresh veggies per pig daily.

I assume he's still shocked by the move. I found that Rescue Remedy (Bach Flower remedies) helps also with animals after shock. Just put two-three drops of it in his water bowl for him to drink during the day.

This happened to me about 3 years ago. I moved across the country and my ginuea pig got messed up during the move; psychologically. What seemed to help was mixing in 2oz. of vodka in his water feeder. I did this for about a week tell things were back to normal.
