Question about bedding for my guinea pig... please answer.?
What sort of wood do they use in America's choice bedding? I just got a bag of it from the local general store that generally sells aspen bedding but I just noticed that it didn't specify on the bag what kind it is so how do I tell? It doesn't smell like pine or anything but I don't want to kill my little guy he's already been through a lot the past few weeks and I don't want to kill him or cause him any <more> problems.
Thanks
I looked at the pics and it looks like pine/cedar. Oh and the cage has good ventalition.

You are going to hear all kinds of bad reviews on pine and i am here to tell you as long as you have a cage that has good ventilation you will not have a problem. I have used it for 30 years and have not had one guinea pig get ill from it. If the bag is not marked most likely it is pine as it is the most common. Again unles you are keeping him in some kind of plastic tub there should be no problem.

Simple. If they are any kind of chips (square, rectangular, flat), then it is pine or cedar. If it is crisp, small, and not square than it is aspen.

Try to stay away from aspen, and try corncob or cardboard beddings.
