The wing is for a small car that will average about 30 mph. The speed is low so the design has to be aggressive.

I'm just looking for a general Idea on how to tackle this problem. any help?

  • Possible causes of random limping in my dog?

She's a 11mo Pitbull mix, about 35 lb. About 2 weeks ago shehad her first limp at the dog park, after that its happened once every day or so. The weird thing is she limps for only a few minutes and after that she seems to be just fine. My vet told me not to worry about it unless it gets worse which It hasn't until about today. I got her ready for a short walk and as she was walking to the door with me she yelped, walked a few steps on 3 paws and went down. She seemed to be in a lot of pain but less than a minute later she was just fine again. I don't know what to make of it. I'm taking her to the vet tomorrow, Any ideas?

  • Help building a budget PC for Solidworks 2015?

Okay so I have a budget of about 700$ and I need a pc that is capable of running solidworks 2015 and hopefully has room for further upgrading in the future. I've come across several build setups but I always keep finding a reason not to go for them.

Anyway, could someone maybe recommend a setup for me?

the biggest limitation for Solidworks is that it needs to have a certified supported graphics card (find supported graphics cards here http://www.solidworks.com/sw/support/videocardtest... but i really dont know a lot about building PCs

  • Red Devil crab has been upside down for 3 days. Diagnose?

I am an experienced aquarist but never had a crab before. I've had my red devil for a couple months now, during this time it molted twice.

The second time it molted was 2 or 3 weeks ago. Unlike the first time, it resumed regular activity as soon as it molted which struck me as slightly odd. After a few days it started acting a little weird, i would find it tipped over forward, with its weight on its claws and front legs only, but since it was still alive and active i decided to see what happened next. It seemed to get better until i found it upside down a couple days ago. it's still alive and responsive to slight disturbances but aside from that it doesn't really do anything.

Looking online has given me absolutely zero help. Anyone know what the heck is going on?

  • Should my crab spend that much time outside the water?

It's a Red Devil in a 10gal freshwater tank with no heater. The tank has a series of mini-caves stacked on top of each other that allow it to step out of the water.

The crab spends most of it's time out of the water and it worries me because I never see it go down and look for food. I need to know if this is normal and if it isnt, how to fix it. All levels are as they've always been in all my aquariums, there's no heater and room temperature is a constant 75 Fahrenheit and theres no heater so My guess is the water is too cold so it stays outside to bask in the heat of the light bulb. Am I probably right?

  • Should I change my Aquarium from freshwater to brackish?

I have a 10 gal freshwater tank equipped with medium sized gravel. Population is 1 pleco, 1 blackfin shark, 1 red Devil crab, and a few guppies. The tank seems overpopulated but I have worked very hard to make it into a good balance and none of the inhabitants show any signs of stress.

Anyway, I was looking into creating an underwater air pocket for my crab since the lid doesn't let me see it when it's outside (which is a lot) and stumbled into a lot of sites that say that all of the fish in my tank do better in brackish than freshwater, especially the crab and the guppies.

I just need to know whether its actually a good idea to transition or if I should leave it as is.

    Cheers!

  • Why does my right arm keep going numb when I sleep?

I usually sleep either face-down with my head turned to the right, or face up. I never sleep on top of my arm and I don t usually move when I sleep, yet i often wake up and find my right arm is dead numb (it s always the right). Its even happened to me when im sitting on my bed leaning against the wall and im working on my computer so my arm is definitely not under anything and it still goes numb.

I m guessing theres some reason I havent thought of, any Ideas?

  • Nearly passed out after getting out of bed, why?

Ok so I just moved in with my grandparents, and at 3 am my grandmother wakes me up to tell me my grandfather fell out of bed and can't get up, so I quickly got up, got dressed and went to help. I lifted him up into his bed, which involved a lot more strain than I thought it would, and after I was done I nearly hit the deck myself. I was feeling very dizzy and lightheaded, and my blood pressure definitely went down a couple notches.

After having a few sips of water and lying down on the ground with my legs up for a couple of minutes I felt fine, but there was a bit of a scare for a few seconds.

Anyways, I usually have near perfect blood pressure, I've never passed out, and as far as I know every single organ/system works just fine so I find this extremely odd. Although I have not been very active in the past couple of months, and particularly yesterday I spent almost all day in bed, so my guess is that this happened because of a lack of exercise and sudden unexpected strain just after getting up, is that probably all that happened, or is there another probable cause? Because odds are I will have to get up at 3am to help my grandfather again in the future and I don't want what happened to me to happen again.

  • How can I improve my chances of being accepted as an international transfer student despite low GPA?

I'm Venezuelan, and I'm near the end of my sophomore year in USB, which is one of the top engineering schools in my country. I'm also about to get a Certificate degree in Electronic Music Production from another really good engineering school. Now, as you might know, my country is basically on the verge of a really bad crash, and I want out as soon as possible. The thing is, I can't afford both college tuition and living expenses in the US, so my biggest, and almost only choice is FIU, because Its the only engineering school within commuting distance from my grandparents' house. I have several cards that can help me, but i have a pretty lousy GPA that does not reflect my capacities. If you bear with me, I'll lay it out for you.

    Pros:

    - About to get a Certificate degree in Electronic Music Production (It doesn't really have much to do with engineering but its still a university degree)

    - Was an active member of my school's FSAE team (Highest ranked FSAE team in Latin America, known for placing 11th last year out of 100+ schools despite incredibly low budget)

    - Good at several sports, especially swimming and soccer (both outdoor and indoor)

    - Was ranked in the top 100, among 12000 people who applied for my school

    -

    Cons:

    - Not the best GPA. I don't know how much exactly on a base of 4, but it's probably somewhere between 2.4 and 2.6. Its not easy getting good grades when you go to 2 schools and have 2 jobs, i guess.

    - Never took an SAT or any similar tests, though if I did I would probably do really good.

Things I don't know if I can use to my advantage:

    - I speak fluent english, and pretty good german

    - On the board of a sports organization in my school for 2 years (first year as head of publicity, second year as treasurer)

    - I have one family member who went to FIU before joining the army, and another one currently enrolled

    - I will be in Miami in a couple of weeks, maybe I can go there and talk to someone who could help me

Also, I've been told that I might be able to request the opportunity to use an essay or an SAT score to help me get in, even though it's not mandatory for transfer students, how might I do that? I'm really good at writing essays and even though I never took an official SAT, I took several models and I did incredibly good in all of them.

Anyways, I have a lot to bring to the table outside my GPA, and It really doesn't reflect my full capacity, so I need to find a way to convince them that I'm better than that. I know it's a long shot but It's my best shot and I really need to get out of here ASAP

  • Is something causing my speakers to blow?

I have 2 passive Peavy speakers (400w each) I use for mobile Djing, and they hadn't failed once in 5 years. Last week, one of them died mid-party, I had it fixed and last night it shorted out. Bad. I mean smoke coming out of the speaker, and all. The same thing happened to the other speaker 20 mins later, effectively killing the party. I just think it's really unusual for that to happen after 5 years of perfect performance, so I'm guessing something's causing the speakers to overload where they didn't before, so my question is what could possibly be causing my speakers to overload so bad without warning?

I haven't done any changes to my setup, i've always used the same 1000watt amp, same mixer, same sound cards, same everything, and I constantly check to make sure there's no audio clip or overload of any sort.

  • Help making a sound sensitive LED circuit?

OK so here's what i want to do. I want to make a LED circuit that turns on and off with sounds, its for a Dj mask so it must have adjustable sensitivity for different volume levels.

I have basic theoretical knowledge in circuits (i can work with resistors, i know kirchoffs laws and I've never worked with capacitors and spires, but i know how to on paper). what I really need to know is how to make it work with sounds and how to do the adjustable sensitivity thing, but a general overview of what else to do wouldnt kill me

I'm doing this project where I have to make a music track, but I can't use musical instruments, instead I have to record other sounds and use them. I'm pretty far along the project already but I need a solid percussive sound that can make a good kick drum. Any ideas?

  • Help using Green's Theorem?

I read up on it, but I can't seem to understand how it's used. Here's a problem that requires the use of Green's theorem, if it helps make it easier, I know this is kind of advanced stuff:

using Green's theorem, calculate the surface of the curve given by:

    F(t) = a cos^3(t), b cos^3(t)
