Dog vomiting and gagging?

So my 10mo pitbull/pointer had her normal breakfasy today. About 1hr later she threw it all back up. I gave her water but she threw it up too. She s also really trying to eat grass. I m not letting her because she throws it up too.

Its been a couple hours and she hasn t thrown up again but she is drooling and gags often. My vet can t see her until monday, is it safe to wait that long?

First of all, let her drink as much as she will, even if she throws it up. I would be inclined to let her eat the grass too, as it might help her get rid of whatever is making her sick; but use your own judgment.

She is clearly nauseated. If she coughs up blood, I would not wait to take her in.

She might have something stuck in her throat or mouth; if you can, examine her mouth and see if anything is visible. If she has something in her throat or esophagus, she may be able to vomit it out.

Keep an eye on her. She will probably get better or worse, and then you can decide whether she needs to go to an emergency vet or not.

Go To Any Other Vet Even If He Is A 1000 Km Away From You Or Your Dog May Die, Hurry!

I don't wanna scare you. My dog did this, and it didn't wanna eat either. Then, it threw up blood. Then she died. This was all in a matter of a week. We took her to two vet's, the first one ******* did nothing. So let your dog eat grass, it soothes the stomach even if she throws it up. Keep feeding her, giving her water too. Good luck. And I wouldn't wait until Monday, maybe go the animal hospital, better safe then sorry.

Safe? I'm not sure but it doesn't seem you have much choice. Try to keep your dog comfortable and offer her water 24/7.
