Does having intercourse during implantation boost chances to get pregnant?
I had IUI on Sunday and that's when my egg has gotten big enough (23mm with thick lining). Our doctor suggested to have intercourse two days before, which we did. I felt light cramp, bloated, and exhausted after IUI; but that only lasted for 2 days and now I'm back on my game and no longer feeling all those symptoms.
Today is day 5 post IUI, which we learned the implantation period. My husband was out of town right after IUI; hence we were unable to have intercourse and will make it up for it during this implantation period. Will that boost the chances to get pregnant or is it too late?
Also, is it normal not to feel anything after IUI, even when I take progesteron and metformin? I am afraid that IUI does not work this time because I feel ok.
1 AntwortPregnancyvor 5 JahrenI feel like my husband doesn't understand me?
We both are jobless now... Well, he's been looking for a job for 6 months already while I decided to do my won gig, working from home so I can rest well and get pregnant. However he was let go 6 months ago and things didn't go as planned. He keeps blaming me for not taking MBA school. I've told him MBA isn't for me...I'm a designer, a right brain; hence MBA doesn't interest me at all...not even when I was in college and had to complete economy/accounting classes. He just can't understand me and says that I don't want to learn; and that everyone should understand business.
I'm so depressed...I don't feel loved... Can't I just have my own opinion? Clearly MBA is not something that I will enjoy. I took some business classes to see if I like it or not and I did not.
10 AntwortenMarriage & Divorcevor 5 JahrenI need ideas for my food blog name?
I've tried several names but some of them are too long and I need something that is less than 15 letters.
The blog is about food (comfort food recipes, interview) & travel and these are some keywords:
journal
sweets
savory
delectable
delicious
bites
kitchen
eats
chronicle
classics modern
comfort food
yum
nibble
Original ideas: chocolate & pasta, a foodie corner, delicious bites, nibble & giggle, spoon fork chopsticks
I like something fun like a beautiful mess, pinch of yum, etc.
Basically I'm also open for any ideas your might have....
Thank you!
7 AntwortenOther - Food & Drinkvor 6 JahrenIs it considered a verbal resignation?
So, I got an offer from another company and I told my supervisor about that offer; however I'm still debating whether to take that or not.
My supervisor was upset and assumed that I will take the job right away but I told him I'm still considering it. I have't turned in my resignation letter, or even said yes to the other company; however my supervisor assumed that I will leave and sent out a resignation email to everyone who works under me, as well as submit my resignation paperwork to HR.
The company I'm currently working for is a public company; hence does verbal notice apply? My supervisor and I never had any discussion about when my last day is and I haven't submitted my resignation letter. My supervisor is so emotional about it, and I'm so mad because I first decided to stay and help for the time being; but I feel that I'm being kicked out.
4 AntwortenLaw & Legalvor 7 JahrenJob Transition During Close of Escrow?
We'll be closing the deal in 2 weeks (late Dec), but I just got an offer letter from another company. Ideally, I will start working in 5 weeks (mid Jan). So, I'll give my 2-weeks notice to my supervisor soon. The pay is way higher and the position is also higher and still aligned with what I do. We're doing conventional loan, not FHA.
- Is it safe to move to another job now? I understand they want to see stable income.
- Is it okay to give my resignation letter now? I know they will do employment verification, but I want to confirm if they only call before closing of escrow.
- Will they call for employment verification after close of escrow?
- What is the safest idea? Should I postpone my first day on the new job to early Feb and continue working there until mid Jan?
2 AntwortenRenting & Real Estatevor 7 JahrenMarried to a Hypothyroid and I need help...badly!?
We got married about a year ago and hubby was diagnosed with hypothyroid about the same time when we got married. The doctor prescribed him a pill and ran the test on him - everything was normal on the paperwork.
Our sex life is a blah, though we both are in our late 20s. He feels fatigue every day and he thinks that his workload at work is killing him. He's been working over 13 hours on weekdays so he sleeps all day long on weekend.
He complains a lot... When I say a lot, it's a lot - like on 100 miles road trip. I was so frustrated because of it and thought he's verbally abusing me (no cursing but putting me on the spot), though he doesn't mean it. He acts that way because his body feels tired due to thyroid problem.
He doesn't like meeting with people or even talking on the phone - work is an exception. But meeting with family exhausts him and sucks his energy. That said, we can only mingle with people he likes and he doesn't really care about my friends.
He doesn't want to change or sacrifice for me. He completely blames it all on thyroid which I get annoyed sometimes because we can't do activities together.
I wonder if people with hypothyroidism problem are ALL like that - pessimist, introvert, no social life, verbally abusive. Any wife of a hypothyroidism husband here? Can thyroid be cured through a surgery? I'm so desperate....
3 AntwortenHeart Diseasesvor 7 JahrenGot a Job - when I should stop my unemployment benefits?
I've been receiving my unemployment benefits for 2.5 months, but I recently received an offer. I will start on January 1st. Meanwhile, can I keep receiving unemployment benefits until Dec 31st or should I stop it now? I know I'm responsible to pay taxes, so what's the pros and cons?
Also, I did some freelance job but they haven't paid me yet so I can't report to EDD that I got paid. However, they will pay for my work in January since this is still a work in progress. Will it affect EDD later? And yes, I will pay tax on this one also since it's over $600 (less than $1,000).
Thanks!
3 AntwortenLaw & Legalvor 7 JahrenWhat to do when husband doesn't support your dream?
I've been out of job for 2 months since the company did some restructuring. He's been yapping on and off about me being jobless. I do have clients though it doesn't pay well, but at least it still brings food to the table and I've been interviewing a lot; however it takes time to close the deal.
My husband has been wanting me to go to B-school but that's not my dream. I've been working on having my own consulting business but it takes sometime to build the website and find clients. Plus, it takes baby steps to reach the salary I previously earned. I don't want to go to grad school because we're planning to have kids next year and I don't want to stop half-way if i go to school. Plus, family is important for me; hence I want to own a consulting business so I can take care of my family rather than sending the kids to daycare, etc.
I'm so frustrated with him. He's frustrated with me because he wants me to work, work, and work. He does not care who will take care of the kids or clean the house, and only cares if I bring money from work. He has a stable income and we're financially stable even we only have 1 income. But it frustrates me so much because seems like he doesn't care about my dreams, my goals, or what I want to do with my life. I don't mind going to B-school but I don't have desire to work in a company as CEO, COO, or whatever. I prefer working part-time (or even not a fancy job) but raise my kids well. He doesn't even want to listen or understand me; and thought that he married a wrong person.
Why can't he encourage me? At least he can say it nicely rather than yapping about money. Why some men are okay with their wives starting a business or not working at all? Why can't he say, "don't worry and do your best"?
ps. he knows that I've been interviewing a lot. I've been telling him, even if I get a job, that's just for money because that's not my dream job. He doesn't care as long as the company pays me and I receive full benefits.
1 AntwortMarriage & Divorcevor 8 JahrenHome building company forgets to include my option?
Not sure how to put it into a topic. Anyways, we purchased a brand new home back in July and we had agreed to add a french door (it's in the contract). However, the interior designer forgot to include that in design addendum; hence when we did the home inspection, we found out we'll be getting a sliding door vs. french door...and yes, it's a big deal because that's one of the major reasons why we purchased that home.
The contractor said it can't be replaced since they have built the foundation and it's pretty much settled. It will cost more money and time to repair it.
We have signed the french door agreement since day 1. How do you normally resolve this? If this can't be done, is it reasonable to ask for credits because they don't deliver?

I'm being offered a freelance job which will take about 25-30 hours but I need to sign W9 form (I'm a designer). Will that affect unemployment benefits in CA? What is the rule for them to stop payment? I only know for part-time job, but not too sure for freelance job since this is not a permanent part-time job.
2 AntwortenLaw & Legalvor 8 JahrenWhat's the procedure to get reimbursed though you're no longer an employee....?
I was let go last month and HR told me to email my expenses to them. I did and the Director said in the email that they will process. It's been a month and I have followed up twice but they never respond to my email. The expenses was for my business trip, one week before I was let go.
What should I do? I'm thinking of going after the CFO but I'm afraid HR will give me hard times when somebody calls and verifies my employment. (I'm so close in getting a job offer).
Is there a law that explains this matter?
Why does the company delay the process?

1 AntwortDiabetesvor 8 JahrenHow to increase a low sex drive?
We're 27 and been married for over 1 year now. My husband has hypothyroidism and is being treated by a doctor. Based on the blood test, the dosage is correct; however he has a super low sex drive.
We were both virgins when we got married. Ever since we got married (14 months), we only had sex 10 times, in which 6 were failed (did not come to an end). The last time we had sex was last month and that was after 9 months without sex. I'm so frustrated because we're now planning to have kids.
Should we go directly to IVF? How long does the treatment take?
4 AntwortenMen's Healthvor 8 JahrenWhat does low renin level mean?
I was admitted to ER about 2 weeks ago because of high blood pressure. I was there for my yearly checkup when the doctor sent me to ER right away and they prescribed me high blood pressure medication. My blood pressure had always been around 130/90; hence my doctor never prescribed me anything; but it went to 180 and I felt okay (no headache or any hypertension symptoms).
They did EKG, blood, and urine test and the results were all good, except very low potassium level. So, my doctor prescribed me HBP meds and encouraged me to consume 2 bananas/ day and take a rest (I slept about 5 hours each day).
Last week, I went for my adrenal gland test and I just saw the result:
- normal blood pressure (I'm still taking prescription)
- good sodium level
- good potassium level (I've been eating bananas, spinach, yogurt every day), but
- low renin levels (I'm 0.10 below good result).
I'm waiting to hear back from my doctor for the next step, but I'm curious to know what's that supposed to mean and what's causing it.
Thanks!
2 AntwortenOther - General Health Carevor 8 JahrenCan I get pregnant when my husband has hypothyroidism?
We've been married for a while and planning to have kids now. We're in our late 20s and stable. However, hubs was diagnosed with hypothyroidism few months back and on prescribed medication. Being that said, he feels fatigue all the time (not to mention our 3-hour commute to work) and less energy for coitus. On the other hand, I'm having irregular periods.
- Is it something that he needs to fight on so his body knows to stay active?
- What to do so his body can stay normal? He keep saying tired all day, even when he wakes up in the morning. He becomes cranky and impatient when he doesn't get enough rest, so technically he can't do anything on weekends because he feels extremely exhausted.
- What are the chances of having kids since he has hypothyroidism?
- Will IVF or other pregnancy treatment help?

1 AntwortOther - Careers & Employmentvor 8 JahrenDoes salary determine success?
Let's say, one person makes $45k annually and he can afford to support his family of 3 (single income). He rents a 2BR apartment, owns a car (fully-owned), can go on vacation (though it's not overseas, but still managed to go to other states with family), and eat out on weekend.
Another case, a 35 y.o. only makes $58 annually. Does it make her a failure (not successful)?
What do you think?
1 AntwortOther - Educationvor 8 JahrenWhat are the personalities of an alcoholic?
These has been an open question among my friends. There's one of us who enjoys drinking wine or a shot of bourbon. He drinks it almost everyday. First, he drinks that on special ocassion, then he starts doing it almost everyday just for fun (by himself). What is the limit to say that he's an alcoholic?
Since he's been drinking, we feel that his personalities has slightly changed. He has became more sensitive when people share their opinions about him (he takes things personally), he's more cruel when he's angry, he easily gets sad/ mad.
Are these normal for people who drinks from time to time (he never gets drunk and has high tolerance of alcohol)?
How do you stop him? We're afraid it will become his addiction sooner or later.
