Will freelance job affect UI in CA?

I'm being offered a freelance job which will take about 25-30 hours but I need to sign W9 form (I'm a designer). Will that affect unemployment benefits in CA? What is the rule for them to stop payment? I only know for part-time job, but not too sure for freelance job since this is not a permanent part-time job.

p.s.: it's been 7 weeks and I still haven't received my UI yet

    Freelance work is income and must be reported to unemployment. Depending on how much it is, it might or might not affect your benefits.
