Okay, so this is what I have using English-Italian dictionaries:

Non potevo dare lui un innamorato senza prendere lui me stesso.

The intended sentence is: "I couldn't give him a lover without taking him myself."

In context, the speaker is saying that he couldn't let his (male) significant other have another (male) bed partner without having sex with the lover himself. (I hope that sentence isn't too confusing)

If you could also tell me how badly I butchered these translations (and how they should properly be written in Italian), I'd be grateful:

Perdonami; Temo che ho perso la testa per breve tempo.

(intended translation: Forgive me; I'm afraid I lost my head for a short time.)

Capisco. Ti chiamerò in tre minuti.

(intended translation: I understand. I'll all you in three minutes.)

I have a couple quick questions. If you are writing someone's name (on, say, a business card) where it's rendered horizontal, do you put the surname left or right?

For instance, for the name: Taro Hoshino (western rendering, given name followed by family name -- in Japanese, it would be Hoshino Taro)

Would it properly be rendered: 星野 太郎 ?

Also, I read that on business cards, when the name is written in romanji, it is westernized as above (with given name first). Is this correct?

When referring to someone being submissive to you. I don't mean sexually, but more personality. I think that "Seine unterwürfige Verhalten" is correct for "his submissive behaviour," but there are so many translations for the word "submissive" that I am uncertain.

Also, why is it Seine and not Sein? (one problem with using a program to learn a new language is that there is no way to ask it a question like this!). Ich danke!

Okay, so I've done my best with what little Deutsch that I understand and the help of Google Translate, so I need a fluent (or native) speaker to fact check the phrases where I'm not certain, bitte.

I'll provide the Deutsch and my intended meaning. What I need to know is if I have anything off/uncomfortable/inaccurate. This character is not a native speaker, but is fluent. English is her first language, but she's suffering bilingual aphasia (from brain trauma), so she's speaking Deutsch, to her best friends, if that background matters (at the very least, it should make the conversation make more sense).
