I have a 21 year old son with a history of slight emotionaI problems. Lately its gotten to the point that he has been extremely verbaly abusive. Hes hot and cold. Dont tell me to kick him out HE IS SICK! My question is Can I have him sectioned to a mental health facility even though he has not threatened me or himself? Its so bad I feel I may have a nervous breakdoen. I have bent backward as far as I can. I live in Massacusetts.Lately

I have had this friend for 20 years who has always been there for me. The past few months I have been debating and evaluating our friendship. First of all he has gained about 100 pounds and refuses to do anything about it. I have tried to help and be supportive to no avail. I am also pretty sure he is bilolar but refuses to take any "psychotropics". He wont even see a therapist. I have come a long way. Im successfully clean/sober, going back to school, helping my kids. He lives in the past. "if I had stayed in the military..." I hear this at least once a week. Also "if I won the lottery.." It is getting increasingly Difficult to be around him. He gets mad half the time if i make plans without him or have someone else drive me somewhere. ( I clean his moms house for 1/4 of what it would normally cost. I have overcome alcoholism, depression, and my bipolar disorder is managed. I dont want to END the friendship but I dont knowwhat else to do. How can I set some boundaries??

My daughter is 18 weeks pregnant. Where can I find real photos and info about this stage of development? Shes very naive...

My husband and daughter share an apartment. My son and I lost our apartment due to the actions of his brother who is now in jail. I sleep on the couch and have been 4 months. Everything was fine until he started drinking again. He is a verbally abusive drunk. I pay a third of the rent and do ALL the housework. I go to AA and do nothing wrong. I tell my daughter what he says to me. ( today I was a dirty whore because the tshirt I had on was too tight. I wasnt going anywhere). He doesnt act like this around our daughter. He said next time I tell her hes throwing me out. We live in Bridtol county Ma. Can he legally?

My 4 year old bearded dragon has been extremely active the past couple of days. I take very good care of him; nothing different. What could be wrong?

My son is 26 and still lives at home. He has battled perc and heroine addiction for years. His father (whom i am divorcing) doesnt help things. He has our son get him and his friends drugs in exchange for drug money. They both have good jobs. My son is going into rehab next week but What about when he gets out? I went to the doctor today because I havent been feeling right lately. She said I have a mass in my neck and ordered an mri. My white blood count is low, I sweat and am tired all the time. Any clues as to what I might have?

I am 40. I have been seeing "John" exclusively for about 2 months now. I met "David" about 10 yrs ago through mutual interests (we frequent the same church, etc.)

Last night I went out to dinner with David (as a friend) and we really hit it off. He even bought me roses. (nothing physicaI happened) I plan on telling David about John today, but am sure I will lose John if I tell him about David. I am so confused and this is making me sick because I don't want to hurt John. This has never happened to me before. What on earth should I do? Adults only please.

My boyfriend lied to me about spending time with another female (whom i've met). I do not have a problem with him having female friends and I know he loves me very much. Why on earth would he lie about it? He swears nothing is going on so what is the problem? (He said, "I'm going to go work on my car."- when he was actually going to give her a ride to work, then pick her up afterwards-so what????!!!) why did he feel the need to lie then?

Why, when you ask a specific question, do some people here (especially those who have never been through it or are kids) INSIST on giving their opinion or comment when you don't ask fro it? I find that real arrogant....

my 21 year old son has a minor criminal record (a joint, probation vilolation-minor, failure to appear)

Last night he eluded police in a high speed chase. They caught his girlfriend and know it was him. He wants to turn himself in today. Any ideas or advice? We are in Massachusetts

My 21 year old son has 2 warrants for probation violation (minor original charge) and failure to appear. last night he fled from the police at a high rate of speed in his girlfriends car (with no license). They KNOW it was him. He wants to turn himself in today. Is he better off just walking in, keeping quiet and waiting for an attorney, or saying, "yes, it was me, etc. Either way I know he's going to jail.
