Do not, I repeat DO NOT surrender without a lawyer. A lawyer will make sure your son understands his rights and the need to keep his mouth shut. He will be so screwed if he tries to walk into a police station without a lawyer.

Ok here we go, You son would be charged with Failure to Stop, Operating so as to endanger, other motor vehicle violations, all misdermeanors in Massachusetts. By you first line I am assuming that your son has an outstanding default warrant (failure to appear) in the WMS system which there is a no release on your son. That is why he ran. Turn himself in should be done early during the day 9:00am when court is open. You son will be transfered to the courthouse any day but friday. Talking to the Police or not does not really matter if they caught the girlfriend. Attorney or not is not going to help him at this point. The focus is on getting arraigned at the courthouse. That is when he will need an Attorney.

Don't go with him, he's got to do it on his own. He is 21 and an adult. They will eventually find him and he will get in more trouble if they come looking for him rather than turning himself in. Sometimes you just have to face the music when you make wrong decisions. Good luck to you and your son.

Not really. You can call and ask if there will be bail and if so how much. Other then that, its just a traffic warrant. Prob get a high fine and a few days in the can.

Yes, contact a lawyer before hand. They will give you the proper advice before he goes to the station.
