    Is 15 minutes of stationary bike cycling and 80 minutes of moderate paced walking per day too much cardio or is this ok? I am a 16 year old girl if thats relevant

    On a scale of sedentary, lightly active, moderately active, active and very active, how active was I today?

    I used the exercise bike for 15 minutes, walked moderately/briskly for 35 minutes, then walked again for 30 minutes and then again for 30 minutes (95 minutes total).

    I was sedentary for a few hours to do an exam but other than that was standing up a lot of the day (not moving around non stop though)

    I understand its impossible to know for sure as you dont know the quantities of everything in it but take a guess. Calories just for the spanikopita itself (not including salad or sauces)

  • Jogging burns more calories than cycling?

    So running apparently burns more calories than cycling when performed at a similar pace of course. I have a stationary bike which i use and i find it makes me puff and sweat more than running for an equal amount of time. Whats up with that? Or perhaps these indicators are irrelevant?

  • How active am i?

    I am a 16 year old girl and 5'5" if that's relevant. I do some form of exercise daily including:

    Walking for 90 - 120 minutes

    Or

    Using the stationary bike for 15 minutes and walking for 60 minutes

    Or

    Using the stationary bike for 15 minutes twice and then walking for 60 minutes.

    Or

    I jog for 20 minutea and walk for 40.

    I also do a little weight lifting or light yoga as well some days.

    Monday - friday i attend school so i sit a lot but when im at home i do dishes and clean and whatnot.

    Saturday and sunday i try and stand a bit more and clean.

    Also is 2500 calories too much do you think or?

    Hi i am a 16 year old girl and i have heard that strength trainingg is not only good for health but good for toning. I dont want to be bulky but just slightly more toned as i generally only do cardio.

    I have 2 6kg dumbbells, are these considered heavy? I was thinkibg of doing bicep curls with them but im not sure what else to do? And how many reps? Thanks!

    Hi i'm a 16 year old girl,, 5'5" and 48 kgs. I don't have much muscle mass and would like to have a bit. What exercises should i do and how often? Also, id prefer to do it fasted first thing in the morning as i enjoy morning workouts most of all. I generally just do cardio.

    And also, is white pasta and bread that much worse than wholemeal? I was looking at the nutrient content of some white wraps and then some wholemeal ones and it looked practically identical, same protein content, same fibre content, same fat content, same carb content and even identical calories.

  • How quickly should i increase my calories?

    I am a 16 year old girl, 5'5" and 47-48 kgs. In under a year i lost 16 kgs. I lost a lot of the weight eating far too few calories (700 - 1400) and through cardio. I now think my face looks too gaunt and my shoulders are too bony. I would like to gain a bit of weight, to 50 - 52 kgs. I have been slowly increasing calories for a few months. I currently eat between 1700-1900 per day. When should i increase this and to what amount? Thank you

  • No period and weight loss?

    I am 16, 5'5" and 47-48 kgs. I lost 16kgs in a year. I used to geet somewhat regular periods but havent experienced one for about 5- 8 months. I realize i am underweight which may be why but what confuses me is that i know girls who are underweigjt and still experience periods. I did lose weight too quickly and unhealtholy (eating far too few calories). I have upped my calorie intake to a healthy 1700 - 1900 which i am currently maintaining on. Is it possible my period will come back once it gets used to this healthier amount of calories or does calories mean nothing?
