Looking to tone???????
Hi i am a 16 year old girl and i have heard that strength trainingg is not only good for health but good for toning. I dont want to be bulky but just slightly more toned as i generally only do cardio.
I have 2 6kg dumbbells, are these considered heavy? I was thinkibg of doing bicep curls with them but im not sure what else to do? And how many reps? Thanks!

You got that right! It's good for your health (in most cases) and toning. Don't worry about the bulky idea because I will make sure you don't achieve that status - as you wont be on the juice.
Anyways, 6kg dumbbells are very light for me but maybe for you it would be good.. First have a feel when you hold the dumbbells and then decide whether or not it's suitable for you. Each person have their own strengths..
If you are just aiming to tone mainly the arms, then other things you can do apart from curls are:
- Upright rows
- Seated overhead extension
- Front raises
- Upright rows
Those are the ones I can think of at the moment.. Generally, aim for 10-12 repetitions for 3 sets. If you can do much more repetitions... then increase the weight.
