I'm just here to provide answers that I am certain will help and educate. Unfortunately, there are countless posts based on opinion or stating false facts. I will not answer any questions unless I can. That's something a lot of people here can't seem to do. People just answer for points, I answer to provide accurate and necessary information.

6 AntwortenMedia & Journalismvor 7 JahrenCan you pair a GTX 560 with a GTX 660?
Sorry. New to pairing cards together.
My motherboard has 2 PCI slots and my current GTX 560 is SLi ready
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8...
But the GTX 560 is hard to find now and the GTX 560 is at a great price.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but can I pair the two for much better performance? (1 monitor)
3 AntwortenDesktopsvor 7 JahrenNew CPU or Card first?
Card: GTX 560 (non ti)
CPU: AMD Quad Core 3.40GHz
Not sure which will be more important for gaming, but I fear I'll be feeling the need for an upgrade when Watch Dogs is released and I can't run it at a setting I'm happy with.
Any recommendations on a card or CPU with a price range of $150?
5 AntwortenDesktopsvor 7 JahrenDo higher power graphics cards/CPUs run hotter on idle?
Having difficulty figuring this one out.
A medium card and CPU trying to run a high graphic game would require the card to work a lot, so it runs hot.
If I were to use a powerful card and CPU, will it still run hot due to the power or will it run cooler since it doesn't take as much work to run the game?

Looking for a simple chat program for my family to use. They're not all tech savvy so even something as simple as skype can be over whelming.
I was hoping to use a program like Kik on PC, but I can't find a version for windows OS.
Do you know of any FREE and easy to use programs where people can contact one another from a tablet to a PC? Since not everyone has both, but one or the other.
Ideas I have in mind so far if I can't find something simple enough:
Skype
Aim

3 AntwortenLaw Enforcement & Policevor 8 JahrenWhy do people think calling someone "liberal" is supposed to be insulting?
According to dictionary.com:
1. open to new behavior or opinions and willing to discard traditional values.
"they have more liberal views toward marriage and divorce than some people"
antonyms: narrow-minded, bigoted
synonyms: progressive, advanced, modern, forward-looking, forward-thinking, progressivist, enlightened, reformist, radical More
2.(of education) concerned mainly with broadening a person's general knowledge and experience, rather than with technical or professional training.
synonyms: wide-ranging, broad-based, general More
So why do people try to use it as an insult when it's a compliment?

1 AntwortOther - Society & Culturevor 8 JahrenPublic Speaking. Practicing, but it's getting more difficult.?
Throughout my college years, I've been forced to give presentations. I started out quite well, but progressively got worse to the point to where I would need a paper in front of me just to get by. By the end, my throat is dry and I'm sweating.
What happened to practice making it easier? I'm getting worse and not sure why. I get more nervous, I don't speak as well, and I don't feel nearly as relieved when the presentation is over.
I envy people who present like pros and I would love to reach that level of confidence and skill, but I feel no progress. What am I missing?
2 AntwortenTeachingvor 8 JahrenThe truth behind "u mad" Agree or Disagree? What do you think?
To put simply, by responding to someone with, "u mad" a person is accepting defeat without knowing.
1. They cannot think of a reply or comeback
2. It is the modern version of "I know you are, but what am I?"
3. The user is lying to him/herself, pretending the person is apparently mad for whatever reason. This lie is created to cover their own insecurities. In result, the person making the claim that this person is mad feels better because he or she has convinced themselves that they have angered the other person which relieves them of their own anger.
Because of this, I see a "u mad" as a crutch to escape an argument of which he or she cannot win and a way for someone to cover their own insecurities.
Kids, feel free to get your "u mad" replies out of the way so the adults can speak. Although the topic involves nothing but immaturity, it's good to understand the science behind it all for the sake of understanding human behavior.

Sorry for the double post. Hopefully my last question was deleted. User named Russel went off topic and he clearly had some issues about being insecure and thinking he wasn't insecure for trying to troll people online rofl. In result, I ran out of space to reply to others.
2 AntwortenPsychologyvor 8 JahrenWhy has society dumbed down to think "u mad" is a good response?
In the '90s people were verbally brutal. There were many insults that were clever and hilarious, but also rough. Now, whenever someone says something insulting, "Mad?" is all a kid can think about to respond.
Why has this generation become so soft, so uncreative, that they have to turn to this modern version of "I know you are, but what am I?"
I understand kids can't come up with a good response or they become too intimidated to attempt to accept the challenge, but I'm curious why? Why did the generations get worse instead of progress? Society has been getting more creative and harsher, then suddenly a brick wall of stupidity.
For the wannabe trolls, go ahead and reply with "u mad?" so I can see the opinions of the adults
3 AntwortenOther - Society & Culturevor 8 JahrenGames in windowed. RAM, CPU, or GPU?
gtx 560
quad-core 3.40ghz
8gigs of ram
Just curious which is more important for running games in windowed. Fullscreen runs better, but I often have skype running in the background and often alt+tabbing to chat while I play.
For the sake of running multiple applications, playing a game, and alt+tabbing frequently, will I benefit from more RAM? I really only run steam, skype, and an internet browser.

This is my first year applying for financial aid as independent. I have not worked nor received any money, therefore I have no income to show.

4 AntwortenFinancial Aidvor 8 JahrenWhy is dammit, dammit and not damn it?
Based on the context, damn it is correct and dammit is just a made-up word by people who did not understand its meaning.
(car doesn't start)
"Damn it" as in.. damn this car. Same as "Damn you" but identifying the car as an "it" rather than a living thing.
5 AntwortenWords & Wordplayvor 8 JahrenI want to laugh, but it doesn't come out?
I really enjoy hearing people laugh. It's contagious and it shows they are fun and friendly.
When I find something humorous, no sound comes out. It's almost like a choke-up. My body seems to hold in the noise.
Since I could remember, I can only remember one event where I laughed out loud and it was during a very nice time where I was just having fun with friends. It wasn't the only time I had fun, but every other time I want to laugh, I seem to naturally hold it in and have one of those silent laughs.
Any clue why?

Found this video. I guess I have the in-door laugh and I don't like it. I'd rather just laugh because it feels like I'm not getting emotions out properly.
2 AntwortenPsychologyvor 8 JahrenDo most South Koreans say South Korea or just Korea?
Spoke with someone from South Korea and he said both South Korea or Korea. Context didn't matter because we never brought up any topics regarding North Korea.
I assume that people who say Korea figure everyone knows it means South Korea, but people do say South Korea even in obvious context.
I can understand when talking about North Korea, you say North Korea. When discussing North and South you make it clear which you're talking about, but when people say "I'm from Korea" I know they mean South.

They say "his" image, but there are vaginas, ovaries, breasts with milk, etc. in this world and men do not have them. Therefore "he" must be a tranny in order for "him" to create us in "his" image.

I'm using a 8.5'' x 11'' photo
I will be creating a grid to draw this image onto a canvas that is 22'' x 28''
I'm awful at math and can't figure this out unless it was as a simple as a 5x5 image on a 10x10 canvas because then I'd just double the inches of my grid for a perfect stretch.
