Games in windowed. RAM, CPU, or GPU?

Just curious which is more important for running games in windowed. Fullscreen runs better, but I often have skype running in the background and often alt+tabbing to chat while I play.
For the sake of running multiple applications, playing a game, and alt+tabbing frequently, will I benefit from more RAM? I really only run steam, skype, and an internet browser.

you might need processor speed than RAM. i use a win7 i7 processor with 8 gigs. and i use 3 VM's(virtual Machines) with 2 gigs each.

Given the amount of memory you have I doubt increasing the memory will give you a significant performance boost.I would rather buy(or test) a solid state drive,since,when aplications lose focus(such as windowed mode) windows tends to act the retarded way by moving the game to the pagefile(at least a part of it),which is stored on the hard drive,and hard drives are not quite fast,neither in raw speed,nor in acces time.
