I was watching Anna und die Liebe (something to make learning German more fun), and I came to an important part, but the character Jonas said something I didn't quite understand. It's at the beginning of this video:

So Anna (the blonde one) is called into the room, and Jonas (the brunette man) is all "Yes the posters you ordered for us came out beautifully". Then he opens a door and says, "But where'd you get the idea to....(something about seperating the prints)" And he finishes the sentence so quickly, I didn't understand it. Help please? =D

During my stay in Germany this summer I really enjoyed watching this telenovella called "Anna und die Liebe" and I found the website that allows you to watch past episodes for free. However, when I try to do this, it tells me I cannot as the video "isn't available in my country". I'm a litte dissapointed...I was wondering if there was any way to get around this, like maybe changing certain settings on my computer. Can anyone tell me if there's anything I can do? I would very much appreciate it!

I recently came across this expression, and with the context, I could only guess at its meaning - "all for nothing". But I'm not entirely sure. Can a German speaker please explain this to me?

I'm writing a letter, and I want to ask (in German) "Are you in contact with them?" I have no idea how to phrase this :/ I'd appreciate any help!

In an interview I watched, the person said, "Giordano Bruno war ein Beispiel für aufrechten Gang. Und die Fortführung des Projects der Aufklärung". I'm not exactly sure what he meant by this. "Giordano Bruno was an example for walking upright" doesn't really make much sense to me xD

So could it be something more like "Giordano Bruno was an example for the upstanding path (and the continuation of the enlightenment)"? I'm really not sure how this is to be translated into English...Could some one help me?

Before the song plays, there's a guy on the TV speaking, but I'm not sure what. If it turns out to be Dutch, does anyone know what he's saying?
