How long will it take for this to grow back?

Update:

My mom thought it would be funny if our cat got a hair cut. She took it quite well, we didn't restrain her or anything. She's mellow.

What did the groomer do wrong? She's a friend of mine, and did what was asked...

To answer Launi's question: if cats need to be shaved the head and legs tend to be left. I would guess this is to avoid trimming off the whiskers that exist in both places, and which are sensory organs for a cat.

This looks like a decorative cut though. I think it takes about 3 months to grow back.

    About 3 months

    Oh.My.Goodness.

I don't get why the groomers do this, either you take some of it off, or you do it all, that makes more sense to me..

I think it would take about 2 months to come in a little bit, then 3 months for it to get that length, but the front's probably going to grow longer by that time....

That is an awesome picture!!! Poor cat though, why did you shave it? I think it takes about 4 or 5 months for a long coat to grow back out.

Why did you allow a groomer to do this? Unless the kitty was VERY matted?

That is a VERY short clip, I would estimate 3/4 months
