A guy told me he has never been in love.

But I see him with his family and especially his mum and I see how caring her is. She is very emotionally needy so he feels like he needs to take care of her. He said that is a burden on him, always needing to take her into consideration in anything he does as she worries so much about him etc.

He lost his dad when he was young and many other relatives.

Now lots of people like him (friends) but he never makes much of an effort to keep those friendships alive. In fact, sometimes he argues with people and just never calls them again. He's rather alone than to approach them again and sort things.

So I am wondering:

Is it even possible to never love someone or develop feelings for them?

Does your brain really "re-hardwire" itself SO much that you stop yourself from feeling much?

When he says he has never been in love....can he truly not feel it or is he stopping himself but secretly cares? Anyone out there that thinks similarly and can relate/explain?

"I like you" Me: "I like you too" "How much?"

He tells me these things and is great when we're together but it is always me who has to ask for dates. He never ever calls.

Is he playing with me?

I know a guy only from online. He is very handsome+ successful so am sure he could be a womanizer although comes across as very traditional: he didn't like the number of times I've been in love (what! Do you fall in love with every guy you see?) or on dates etc.

He asked me out on a date, many times. For weeks. Finally I said yes. Now we're going on one in a week from now. And texts me, asking what we'll do on our date, he hopes I won't stand him up etc He'll put a question into the message like 'how was your day' but when I text back, he won't!

Sometimes we text back and forth and then he'll suddenly stop answering.

Drives me up a wall. Can't even be that he's not interested because we've never met and he's been pushing for a date for a long time now. Or is it that?! Why does he do that texting thing?!

Should I tell him to stop that or does that come across as clingy/needy?

When they say "7-12 business days", does that mean my package will also only be handled, processed and flown out on a business day or will they work on that on Thanksgiving and weekends too, but only deliver on business days?

My package is in the States and the last update was "manifested for outbound transportation"--whatever that means.

Does anyone know if my package will just sit there for a while now (with it being thanksgiving and weekend soon)?

When I get new txts, there is an envelope on my home screen, in a random position, and it doesn't show who it is from right away. It drives me nuts. Is there a way to see right away who I got a text from!?

Just felt a big 1.5cm hard lump under my pubic area and am super scared!

It is not red, you can't see it from the outside, it is too big to be an ingrown hair and it doesn't move around or hurt either (maybe a tiny!! bit uncomfortable).

I think it's too far under the skin to simply try and pop it. It is more elongated instead of round.

Really freaking out here that it could be cancer. Anyone else had this problem and got medical advice on it??

I have an Ex that I want back and he loves mangas so I want to have one drawn up for him, with our story, but more abstract. As in, I want him to know what I mean and want to say rather than it depicting our story literally.

Our story in short:

We live in 2 different countries, were together 2 years ago but broke up because of the distance.

Now we are talking again and I want him back (which he knows). He says he has feelings for me but also has a girlfriend. He decided that he could not do it to her, break up, but then said he was lost and confused about all this.

I guess, my message to him is that it's okay. I'm not there to force a break up if he is not ready. I just want him to put this manga next to his bed and keep me in mind. If he changes his mind one day, I will be there waiting. I want him to know that life is what we make of it, we have a choice. and if we both want this, we will make it happen (distance wise). Or more abstract....that life...I don't know, make it as abstract as you can--this is where i struggle! How do I turn that in a concrete story, told in about 20 pictures?

Hi guys,

I just moved into a new flat (in Scotland) and signed a 6 months lease.

There is a lift in the building and it seems to be right next to my bedroom. Now that I have slept there a few nights, I am an absolute basket case because of the constant noise it makes. I know for a fact I cannot stay there if I want to stay sane.

What are my options here?

I know I signed the lease but is there a way around it? Is there a way to get out of there at all?

Have already gotten advice from the council- the only thing they can do is come out an measure it. It will prob just be under their cut-off though. It is more the constant up and down and waiting for the next person to use it that is driving me seriously insane.

Any help would be a lifesaver!

It is the 2nd sentence I am worried about--does there need to be a comma before "with new scales"? And is it okay to begin the sentence with "Purpose is..." , not "the purpose is"? (as that would be a repetition and not very elegant)

I am talking about psychology in an application and want to say it is a young science and so there are still a lot of grey areas- can you help me make it sound more formal and scientific?
