Seems to me like he's making all the moves and you aren't giving him anything back. This has happened to me many times, we hangout and get to know eachother while the girl literally sits there and laughs and smiles. Then I say "I kinda like you" then kiss her. We hangout a couple more times and I have to make every single move on her. You think we are "players" but you just don't do anything for us except give sex. It's so boring going on a date or something and the only reason we are doing so is because we want to screw you, because the time together is that dreadful. Yeah, I am a player. But I can tell you one thing, I would give it up in a second if she made a couple moves such as kissing first, holding my hand. Don't just sit there and look pretty, it's not enough. I could be totally off the case with your situation but these are my thoughts.
