Guys, why would you text me and then not answer?!?
I know a guy only from online. He is very handsome+ successful so am sure he could be a womanizer although comes across as very traditional: he didn't like the number of times I've been in love (what! Do you fall in love with every guy you see?) or on dates etc.
He asked me out on a date, many times. For weeks. Finally I said yes. Now we're going on one in a week from now. And texts me, asking what we'll do on our date, he hopes I won't stand him up etc He'll put a question into the message like 'how was your day' but when I text back, he won't!
Sometimes we text back and forth and then he'll suddenly stop answering.
Drives me up a wall. Can't even be that he's not interested because we've never met and he's been pushing for a date for a long time now. Or is it that?! Why does he do that texting thing?!
Should I tell him to stop that or does that come across as clingy/needy?

The first thing that comes to my mind is that he is playing games with you. People who play games are insecure, so they think they need to act disinterested to keep you interested.
The second thing that comes to my mind is that he is dating other women. When a guy has many women texting him it is difficult for him to keep track of all the texts. You're probably not at the forefront of his mind. So make sure he is not at the forefront of your mind. Make dates with other guys and go out with girlfriends and get involved in activities you care about. Always keep him as a side dish. Your life and passions must be always be the main course.
