Hi, I am looking to upgrade my eyepiece kit with a good eyepiece with a large field of view (FOV). My 8" Dobsonian has a removable eyepiece holder so it can hold 1.25mm or 2mm eyepieces. What eyepiece would you recommend as the best 70-100 FOV eyepiece for under $300?

I can't decide which to take. I really struggle in Spanish, I have taken 8 semesters total and have gotten all B's, but I know that colleges like to see foreign language taken as much as possible. On the other hand, I find that physiology is pretty interesting and many people at my school take it and enjoy it. I will have a pretty tough schedule either way with AP Chemistry a Double period, AP World, AP Lang, Honors precalc, and honors orchestra. Which do you think is better for me to take? P.S. I really hate Spanish.

Do colleges look at my GPA as just the number, or will they actually look at the classes I took and how I did in them? I am wondering this because I have not gotten a B in any class besides Spanish (8 semesters!) and I felt like if colleges saw that only Spanish hurt me then I would be better off.

This is now the second meet in row that I have not been able to break 4:40. I think that I have the training in, for example I did 3 1000's at average of 3:02 with an all out 200 in between each the other day. I think that it might be the speed which is the problem, I only ran a 2:06 800. I ran a 10:14 2 mile a month ago after running another 2:06 before that race. How should I go about trying to breaking 4:40 or should I just focus on trying to break 10 in the 2 mile?

Hi. I have the Orion Dobsonian XT8 and i live in a pretty light polluted suburban area and i was interested in getting a filter for nebulas becasue i can only see the orion nebula from where i live. i was wondering which type of filter would be overall best to inhance the view from my telescope. Which do you think i should get, a UHC filter, a narrow-band filter, an Olll, an H-Beta. I have read that Narrowband filters are good, which model do you think i should get?

I have an orion dob xt8 and have been having some trouble finding thinks through the red dot finder that it comes with. I have heard that either a telrad or a finder scope such as the 9x50 right angle finder that orion offers are both very helpful. Which would you recommend as the most helpful in moderately light polluted sky's? Also how would I mount them on my telescope without removing the red dot finder already in place, or do I have to remove it?

I have an 8" dobsonian xt8 but I can't find anything besides easy objects. I have been looking for deep sky objects like the Triangulum Galaxy but can never find it. I look with my lowest magnification,48x, and can never find it. This is just one of many objects I can not find. I am beginning to get very frustrated but I have heard that a telrad finder can help. How do they work? How will they help me? Should it be this hard to find objects

It is currently the middle of indoor track and I run a 448 mile. What should I be striving for by the end of indoor? End of outdoor?

I was wondering if i could just simply leave my 8" Dobsonian outside in my screened in porch. Water wouldnt get on it. Right now i leave it inside and then when i want to use it i have to let it sit outside for 30 min or so, so it can get used to the cold weather. Can i leave it outside in my porch with the cap on or should i just keep it inside my house? Should i buy a cover so i can leave it outside?

Will taking all these classes be too much work. I also play violin for 45 min a night. And I run track and xc and don't get home until 430. I really am interested in all these classes and don't really want to cut any back but If you think that it will be to hard/ too much work then i will cut. Thanks for your advice

I already have a DSLR Nikon 3200 and a 8" Dobsonian. I am interested in starting astrophotography but I don't know what accessories to get so I can hook my camera up to my telescope. Also I need advice on what to actually do once I have the accessories, what are exposures? How do I account for the movement of the earth? Thanks for your help

This year I am a sophomore and I am really hoping that I can break 17 min on a 5k. I trained very hard over the summer averaging about 35-40 miles per week with two, four mile hard runs mixed in each week. Last year as a freshmen I ran an 18:02 5k, a 10:42 2 mile and a 4:58 mile. Do you think I can break 17 min and how hard is it?

Is it 2y(x^2-2x-15)?

Especially at an Ivy League?

I was just wondering if I should fully invest myself in academics when I thin k I can easily get into a good college with just my running. I currently get mostly a's and a few b's and I know if I really focus I could get straight a's but if I get low times in xc like 1545 and a 417 mile then shouldn't I be set for college?

I have been playing violin since 4th grade and I am getting quite good. I am about to try out for a non school related orchestra ( Montgomery County Youth Orchestra ). I have been a first violin in every school orchestra I have been a part of and btw I am going into 10th grade. But I am also very interested in science and there are other science courses at my school that I want to take but can't because I am taking violin. Should I continue to play violin or drop it to take these science courses

I already have a PS3 with at least 15 respectable games including The Last of Us, Black Ops 2, Assassins Creed 3, Red Dead Redemption, NBA 2K11, Madden 2011, Battlefield 3, Uncharted 3, and a few more. Is there really any reason to get a PS4 or XBox 1 when there is no backwards compatibility on either? I mean the XBox 1 exclusives look great, mostly Titanfall, Ryse, and Halo, so is there any reason I should get a PS4? I'm so confused, please any advice or opinion is accepted
