should i leave my telescope inside or outside?

I have nearly always kept my telescopes in an unheated porch or garage. So long as it is protected from moisture and extremes of temperature, it will be fine. I keep a light bulb burning in my observatory all the time t drive away moisture, and have a heat-proof covering over the telescope in summer, since the observatory acts like a greenhouse.

One thing you may want to consider is the effects of moisture. If the telescope is subjected to a continuous uncontrolled enviroment, the warming and cooling may result in an accumulation of condensed moisture which could cause corrosion of metallic parts or other problems. I would keep it in a heated environment and only bring it outdoors or in unheated space briefly.

Maybe inside because you don't want it to g stolen because they could just take it off of your porch you maybe should pur it in your room so the. you know where it is and its safe. :-)
