  • My stomach hurts on rides that drop. Why?

I live in Australia, so we only have a few theme parks, and none of them are in the state I live in, but I have been to them 3 times in my life (which for most Australians is lucky).

The last time I went to one, I noticed that when I go on rollercoasters, my stomach really hurts when I go down the drops. It never used to be like that, when I was a child I was a complete adrenaline junkie and the first time I went to a theme park I went on the giant drop 3 times in a row (Drop tower ride). But now that I've gotten older, that butterfly feeling you get when you drop has developed into something a lot more painful. The last time I went on a rollercoaster was a few months ago, and it was the Arkham Asylum Escape (which used to be called the Lethal Weapon Ride) in Movie World, Queensland, which used to be my favourite ride when I was a kid. I would ride it over and over again as a kid, but this time when I went on it, going down the drop hurt so much that I had to shrink down in my seat and apparently I let out a strange gurgling/grunting noise.

I'm not afraid of rollercoasters at all so I don't think it's psychological. I have no fear of heights, or going through the loops, nothing like that. Infant, I love rollercoasters and if I could avoid going down the drops, I'd be on them all the time.

At some point I'd like to visit some american theme parks, so does anyone know why my body does this? And if so how do I stop it?

  • Sunburn itch from hell?

so we found out that my boyfriend right now is suffering from something called hell's itch which is extraordinarily itchy sunburn. Like fire ants under the skin. We can't stand it anymore. I've tried getting some anti itching gel, moisturizing, aloe spray, ibuprofen, antihistamines, hot/cold showers. EVERYTHING! The hot showers seem to help. For about 20 minutes. We have no idea what to do. We need help. I'm starting to wonder if I should take him to the hospital. He can't stay out of the shower for very long before he needs to get back in to make it stop. HELP?

  • My tax hasn't come back yet?

So I live in South Australia just so everyone knows. I had a helper file my tax online through e-tax on the 28th of August. It's now the 5th of November. WTF? I have all of the paperwork from when it was lodged and I've been over it. Everything is correct, and I haven't sen anything in the mail about it so I checked online at ato "when will you get your refund" and it said I could do a quick search by my TFN. When I did it said: "We have received your return however it has not yet been processed. We will contact you if we require further information." It's been nearly 3 months now, surely it should have come through by now?

  • My male desexed cat won't stop meowing at the door?

My male cat was already desexed when I got him at around 6 - 7 months old and at a guess he would be near 2 years old now. We have recently moved into a new home about 2 and a half months ago, so I kept him inside for 2 weeks before letting him explore outside as he was already an outside cat. We don't have a cat door as we're renting the house so we let him out in the morning and bring him back in late afternoon so he all day to explore and use up his energy. I don't like the idea of letting him out at night because we won't hear him meowing to get back in if we're sleeping and he has just always been inside at night time to sleep, but recently he has been wanting to keep going outside at night. I have been trying to ignore him and just be careful when we go outside so he doesn't get out but sometimes he can be very quick. Tonight when he came in he started meowing at both doors to be let out, so I caved and let him out until 6.30 when he usually comes in at 4 or 5, but when he came in again he still started meowing at the doors. I tried ignoring him for hours but it didn't work. I have also tried telling him off a few times but it works for 5 minutes. He is a very stubborn cat ton tell off as he is a manx so his nature is more like a dog. Does anyone have any idea why he would be doing this and any tips on how to get him to stop?

  • Should I rush my cat to the vet? Bite?

My cat is an outdoor cat and he just recently came inside for food. We noticed him making some strange huffing/sneezing noises, so I picked him up to have a look and noticed two very small punctures (I think) and it's rather swollen. He won't really let me touch it to get a closer look but I'm pretty sure it would be a spider bite. I'm not really sure what kind of damage this can do because I don't know exactly what bit him, so I was wondering if I should call in the vet to check him. I'm more worried about the swelling blocking his breathing than anything and we're about 30 minutes away from a vet if anything happens. We're in South Australia as well if this helps with knowing what is around us that can do this. Opinions?

  • How do I keep my cat inside? If it helps to know his breed he's a Manx cross Domestic.?

I've noticed he has a very adventurous spirit to put it lightly. When I first got him, I wanted him to be an inside cat as I don't like outside cats. There's too much to worry about like if the neighbors bait him, if he gets run over, stolen, or picked up by the pound. Not to mention it's cleaner. But at some point he started really wanting to go outside. He'd wait by the back door until someone was going outside and then bolt. He's extremely fast, no one can catch him but he seemed ok with the backyard so I let it go eventually (once he learnt how to use the doggy door there was no stopping him because we have a dog and it's always open). Then he found a gap under the fence and how to get over fences so now there really is no way of keeping him in.

Lately he hasn't been eating any of the food I put down for him and he doesn't come home very often. He used to come home every night and sleep on my bed or the couch. I think someone else is feeding him and letting him into their home and I know it may very well be an elderly person and I sound mean in saying this, but he's my pet and I really don't like the idea of anyone else feeding him or letting him sleep on their bed (call me a jealous owner). I was considering buying a pet collar with a video camera attached to find who it is so I can ask them nicely to stop but the other alternative is to try to keep him inside but I have a feeling that won't be easy as he is now an outside cat.

Any ideas on how I can keep him indoors?

  • Do you think he's full manx?

So I got a cat awhile ago and he had a bad background. My mother's boss adopted him as a kitten from the Animal Welfare League for her mother (who is in her 70's) and she was forgetting to feed him. He was getting fed one tbs of mince meat a day. So My mothers Boss took the cat from her mother and we adopted him at 4 months old.

We were told he is a Manx, but I've researched them, and to me, he doesn't look full Manx. Their hind legs are supposed to be longer than their front ones, they're supposedly not very vocal cats, and are rather protective of their families. Bagheera's (That's his name) legs are all the same length, he meows all the time and he's rather social with people. Also his face doesn't look like a Manx.

Here are some photos of him. The first one is a bit blurry.

    4: http://www.flickr.com/photos/106030645@N05/1038399...

It doesn't bother me if he isn't full Manx (which is my suspicion) but I read that if they aren't full, then you can expect some back problems. I love my buddy and I'd hate to think of him suffering.

    What do you think?

  • What are the early stages of Alzheimer's?

My mum has been drinking a fair bit today so she is pretty drunk. Awhile ago her doctor said she may develope Alzheimer's at an early age but I can't remember why. Today one of my sisters childhood friends came up to visit. Let's call her Gracie. Gracie was sitting outside with my mum drinking with her and all of a sudden mum grabbed her hand and said who are you? Gracie said you know me, I'm Gracie. Mum replied how do I know you? Gracie said you've known me since I was a small child. I think mum said umm no. Me and my sister went out and made sure she knew who we are and she said I want to go home. We said you are home and took her to bed. I put her dog on the bed to sleep like always and she said why have I got him? It really scared me.

Please don't say call an ambulance because this is not an emergency. We are planning to confront her tomorrow when she's sober.

I don't know if this is because of the alcohol or not but it's scary. I shouldn't say this but mum drinks a lot and nothing like this has ever happened.

  • When can I take off my bandage?

So I recently had my impala on taken out again but the doctor didn't tell me when I can take the patch off. I can't remember the other 3 times when I'm allowed to take it off. It's just a large white band aide thing and underneath in the small strip of bandage holding the cut together. Like what they put on a cut when its too small to stitch? Any ideas when I can take this off?

  • Would I pass a random drug test for THC?

Sorry to put this in the wrong category but it's the only way it'll get answered. Ok so I don't smoke it usually. I haven't in about 8 or 9 months. But last night a friend that I hadn't seen in a long time said he was leaving town and offered me a joint. I think I had about 2 or 3 puffs and that was it but because I don't do it on a regular basis it hit me fairly hard. My question is that I'm going to the royal Adelaide show today. Am I ok to drive? I smoked it at about 1.14 am last night and will probably leave at about 3.00pm today or so. Would I pass if I got random drug tested? Please no fowl comments. It could be a lot worse. At least I'm not 13 and addicted to it I'm 18 and only do it maybe once a year or every 8 months.

  • 5 Week Old Tattoo????

So, I got a tattoo, obviously 5 weeks ago of a blue rose on my foot. This is my first one so I don't know too much about the care of them, just the basics. It's still a little dry so I've still been using the pigment protection cream my tattooist gave to me, but I've narrowed it down to using it two times a day (morning and night). If I don't use it then I've noticed I get these whiteish spots on it that look like scabs.

    So my questions are..

    1. When do I stop using the pigment cream?

    2. What should I still avoid with it eg. direct sunlight, itching ect.

    3. I've taken it in the shower obviously but still scared to try the bath. When can it be submerged in water?

    4. Should I go see the tattooist when it's healed just in case it needs a touch up?

    No annoyingly teasing comments thanks.

  • Is my Chanel purse fake?

I was just given a Chanel clutch that someone picked up at a garage sale ( I have no idea how much for ) and I'm not sure if it's a fake or not. My guess would be that it's a fake to be honest but I'm not 100% certain. It's purple, has the two c's intertwined, then underneath it says Chanel rulse. It also has two small chains hanging from the side. One with the logo and the other with a small metal ball with the logo again on it. Then inside in the section where you can put a photo it has a small white piece of paper saying Chanel Paris. And it also says the same inside printed on the material. I heard something about Chanel being fake if it says Paris on it. So what do you guys think?

  • I'm sick but I don't know what this is? Never had it before.?

It started coming on a few days ago. i just had a scratchy throat, really bad headache, up and down temperature, and sensitive skin. now it's developed into something completely different to what i though it would be. I can't stop coughing, I'm blowing green gunk out of my nose (gross i know), my throat is sore, and I've almost completely lost my voice. at first i thought it was just a cold but I've NEVER lost my voice before over anything.

anyone have any idea what it could be if it's not just the flu?

  • Russ Berrie Giant Plush Toy?

I went to the Royal Adelaide Show September last year and when I went in to see the show bags, I found a teddy bear shop with all different expensive brands of teddy bears.

I found the Russ Berrie section and I found this adorable plush toy donkey. it had to be at least 30 inches long and it's head was huge. the whole thing was huge. unfortunately I didn't have the money at the time for it, but now I do. I was wondering if anyone can help me find it? I've looked everywhere. The brand is Russ Berrie and I'm pretty sure the name of the donkey was Blossom or Daisy.

  • tattoo quote opinions ?

ok so I was thinking of getting a tattoo on the tops of both feet.

I'd like in script the quote "Never regret anything because at one point it was exactly what you wanted" on one, and the other I'd like a pink (NOT hot pink, just a sort or light pink but dark enough to let it fade a little and still look ok) rose.

To be honest I'd like to get them both done in the one sitting, but I'm not sure if that would be ok. I'm not sure how much it will cost, how long it will take or even if i can handle it. it is my first tattoo but I'm set on it.

    opinions?

  • What could I get my boyfriend of around 4 years for Valentines day?

ok, first off, I'm 17, he's 19, just so you know the age group your answering to.

he told me not to get him anything but I can't do that to be honest.

so, the only things I know he's into, is xbox and computer, and the only games I know he likes are Skyrim (because I bought that for his birthday), Oblivion and the whole series of those games, fallout 3, Dark souls, those sorts of games, but he needs challenging games because he beats them too quickly if they're too easy.

I know he likes chocolate, so I'll probably get him chocolate and a card, but I need a little something extra. he isn't one of those metro guys or anything, in fact he still has long hair and hates skinny jeans so jewelery is out of the question. he's extremely difficult to buy for.

no I'm not going to get him an Xbox live gold subscription because I buy him that for Christmas every year

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated?
