Missed period?
In January I had sex and too plan B... Later the condom broke and I went immediately to take plan B again within a span of 2 weeks or so. Anyway I got my period on time 1.5 weeks later in February. I was supposed to get my next period 5 days ago and I am late. I have had cramps and nothing. I took a pregnancy test yesterday and it was negative. My boyfriend and I have been using a codom and he also pulls out before he finishes while wearing a condom. Could I be pregnant? I really hope not :( I went to get birth control but because I won't have insurance for another month I don't have money to see a doctor or pay for it. We thought we were being extra cautious by pulling out even while wearing a condom
1 AntwortPregnancyvor 6 JahrenHow do you feel about a girl asking out a guy? Is it weird?
I hung out with a friend I hadn't seen in 10 years. We went for drinks and I felt he was cool and all. So the next day at night I asked if he was seeing someone. He never replied. I'm okay if he is or if he isn't interested. I just thought I take a chance because well.. why not? I mean I didn't think he would ask me. He did hold my hand the whole night and tried to kiss me but I think that may have been the beers talking. I didn't kiss him goodnight but I did hug him. He wanted a kiss. I just didn't feel right about it since I like getting to at least a second date before a kiss. My question is, do I seem desperate? I ask because traditionally it is the men who ask the woman and it is men who will pursue the woman if he is really interested. I have never asked a guy out before. I always have been the one to get asked first. But this time, I guess at 24 and he being on the nerdy end I didn't really care and just did it. Not doing it again though.

3 AntwortenMedia & Journalismvor 8 JahrenWomen: How do you feel about cat calls? Men: do you cat call women?
I personally get very angry when a man stares me down like a piece of meat. I have been honked at, whistled at, yelled at from a far "beautiful," and even followed. Oh yes, and I can never forget, when walking from my apartment to my campus (it's a minute away walking distance) a runner past by me and grabbed my behind. I was shocked and angry. I was so angry and shocked that I didn't way anything I froze while he continued running and made a left turn. I felt violated and this is how I feel when I get cat called or anything of the sort. Men who do this, why? And women, how does it make you feel? I understand everyone has a different opinion I am interested to know.
9 AntwortenOther - Cultures & Groupsvor 8 JahrenI keep having the same dream of a haunted mansion with large rooms within a room. What does it mean?
Okay, so I have been dreaming of a large house I want to call it a mansion. The first part is a regular house where my family lives, my extended family and everyone stays in that part of the house. It is a regular house but we have to share rooms as there isn't space. However, I continue walking alone to explore the rest of the house. I see a huge empty room and I see stairs but I don't go up. When I'm in the room, there is another door and it is open. I can see that it leads me to a line of huge rooms. Some have a huge bathroom. But I don't want to sleep there.... I get chills.. it's creepy and haunted and it's strange that none of my family talks or acknowledges the extension of the house which is huge. In some dreams I see the outside and I see ghosts from the 1800s. People dressed the same way as back then and horses and I get chills. It's a huge front yard. But again, the family doesn't seem to acknowledge this either. This time though, I dreamed about the house again. I took my boyfriend to see it too. It was my graduation and my mom was there (I already graduated from college so don't know what type of graduation it was). So I took my boyfriend to the extended part of the house and I couldn't find the empty rooms. They were now turned into clothing stores with lots of people. It wasn't scary or haunted anymore. But I continued to search for the haunted large empty rooms and I was given instructions by a boy who was shopping as to where they were. I found them, they were empty and creepy so I ran. I ran away back to where the stores where. It was too scary. I woke up to thunder. lol anyone had this dream before? what does it mean?
1 AntwortDream Interpretationvor 8 JahrenWhat should I do? I'm at a very confusing stage in my life.?
I am 23 years old.. I have a four-year degree. I had a great job in the field I liked but left because it was for a non profit and I felt very burnt out. I took on an opportunity with higher pay, benefits, in a different field although still working with undeserved communities. I also left the non profit for the public sector. Now in this position, I don't feel challenged at all. It's a drag to go to work everyday. I feel that I am not utilizing my skills at all and it's not my passion so I found. My passion I found is to work with youth, to work with low income communities, to serve others but especially through education. What should I do? I have only been on the job for a short couple of months. Should I do AmeriCorps for a year in the non profit sector where I will gain skills and do something I am passionate about? Or grad school? In what? Or apply for other jobs? I am considering all of the above.. but I feel so low. I feel like I messed up my career. I am networking and volunteering for a no n profit I would LOVE to work for but I don't feel it's enough. Advice? Help!

I have a job interview but I did not list my current position on my resume. Help anyone?
I got a job interview for a position similar to my previous. I left my job 2 months ago to pursue another opportunity but it is not anywhere near challenging as my old one. So I saw a job listing where my skills and passion can be better put to use. I did not list my current position because I have only been there a short time. I did however include on the resume that I no longer work at my previous position. I was planning to tell them during the interview that I left to pursue an opportunity that I thought would be more challenging. And even though I am def. learning a lot, it did not turn out to be what I was looking for. Will this affect my chances? It was a complete career change by the way. Still helping people but in another capacity. I do not have a history of job hoping and I have a phone interview already scheduled. Do you think I have a shot?

2 AntwortenOther - Careers & Employmentvor 8 JahrenWhat do you think about unions? Are you for or against them?
So I used to think unions were a good thing but now I'm not so sure. I worked for a non profit that worked me to the bone. So I decided to change the scenery and got a union job. The pay is great so are the benefits. I am never stressed. However, I really feel like we all need more responsibility, we get paid way to much for the little we do, and the seniority thing annoys the %uck out of me. I hate all of the dead weight that NEEDS to go. We need efficient people that truly care about the people we serve and what we do. We need to cut salaries of employees in order to stop lay offs of others. It kills me to see people get laid off who are efficient over those that are so stupid all they do is sit and gossip the whole day. Then there are people who if asked to do something more, they refuse and go to the union and demand more pay for it. All they do most days is sit and chat about their pathetic lives. What is this? A union at its finest. I used to work for one too, everything I believed in is down the drain! Unions drain programs who the hell can afford to pay employees that much????

4 AntwortenPolls & Surveysvor 9 JahrenHow long did it take you to find another full-time job after being laid-off?
Hi everyone, with the effects of the recession still very present here in Caifornia and in the U.S. I continue to hear horror stories. Can anyone tell me a success story about finding a full-time job about being laid-off? What steps did you take and how long did it take you? I recently left a challenging position for one that is not so challenging nor stable. I left because my other position was very very stressful but I am now searching for other full-time positions before the lay offs happen which might not be for a year. Anyone have any advice? I have a B.A. degree and I have over a year and a half of full time job experience as you can see I am sort of a recent graduate.

My skills are not being used very well working for the government. I get paid well but I liked having more responsibility. Do you think going back to work for a non-profit will ever happen? I've been on the job for 2 months.

1 AntwortOther - Society & Culturevor 9 JahrenSexual Harassment Question Did I overreact?
So I am a staff member who is fairly young. I work with adults who are working to have better lives and education. One of them who is a bit older than me, wrote something a sort of poem saying I am pretty and what not. I got offended because I want to be taken seriously and I want all interactions between client and staff to be kept professional. I did not know how to handle it so I mentioned it to my supervisor. I let him know that I DO NOT want to take it any further at all. It was a small thing but I wasn't sure if I had to report it or not. I also let him know that I DO NOT feel harassed but it did make me feel uncomfortable. I guess I just feel that it's not okay, I like professionalism with clients... Did I overreact? I did not want to tell the client directly because I didn't want him to feel bad. I just wanted on record just in case it happened again.

Is my job asking too much from me?
I have been working for a non-profit for over a year now and I feel like I am getting more and more responsibility. In the beginning I was struggling with the workload, however, five months into it we hired a temporary assistant. It was a blessing from God! Everything runs smoothly and I am able to do more, meet all deadlines, and I run a much more efficient program. I have been getting compliments and thanks you's from our funders (especially one of the toughest to work with). I love it and I want to continue like this. However, once my assistant leaves, I am not sure I will receive anymore assistance and I feel that I will still be expected to perform the same number of tasks (which have increased because of my assistant) and have everything done in an extra timely manner. What can I do? I know that I will no longer struggle like in the beginning because I have become very skilled in what I do, but my assistant has been a great asset to the program and without the work she does (although mostly administrative) I will be once again swamped, stressed, and burnt out! Should I quit or am I just being negative and complaining too much? I am an hourly staff, not salary and I never get approved over-time. (I know it is not laziness since I give it my all 100% everyday and go above and beyond).
