Women: How do you feel about cat calls? Men: do you cat call women?

Question

I personally get very angry when a man stares me down like a piece of meat.  I have been honked at, whistled at, yelled at from a far "beautiful," and even followed.   Oh yes, and I can never forget, when walking from my apartment to my campus (it's a minute away walking distance) a runner past by me and grabbed my behind.  I was shocked and angry.  I was so angry and shocked that I didn't way anything I froze while he continued running and made a left turn.  I felt violated and this is how I feel when I get cat called or anything of the sort.  Men who do this, why?  And women, how does it make you feel?  I understand everyone has a different opinion I am interested to know.

It really depends on how and when the guy cat calls.

For example ...

Bad times to cat call...

I am walking my 5 year old niece to school 
Out shopping with my grandfather

Good times to cat call....

Friday evening, as I am leaving the house clearly wearing too much make up, too little clothing, off clubbing - sure cat call me, its good for my ego.

How do I feel when a guy cat calls me? - Like a piece of meat.  I would never date a guy that cat called me.

i have gotten used to the line harassment, notwithstanding it nevertheless pisses me off every time, quite at the same time as i'm walking down the line and out of nowhere a guy beeps his horn at me. the way I take care of the problem is to easily no longer reply or perhaps renowned those style of fellows, yet they of route do not care that their interest is undesirable. Cat calling and street harassment is a very enormous social concern that particular communities of girls human beings face more advantageous than others.

I'd be complimented if someone called me beautiful.  The cat calls, not so much, but i'd just ignore them. Now if someone touched me, that would be crossing the line.  I don't care how sexy you think i am, keep your stranger-danger-creeper hands off me.

I smile politely and keep walking. Faster. It aggravates me. That is not the way to get my attention. I don't like being yelled at, no matter what they say.

I find it extremely rude and disrespectful....
I would never date any man who would dare to do that to me or another woman....
As for why they do it? Who knows what goes through some people's minds.

it's forbidden today. haven't cat called in 30 yrs.  it's cool, there's other ways to get girls that are more effective.  can't say cat calls were ever effective, actually.
