A few of us just moved into a new house and introduced ourselves to the neighbors. Passed the neighbor my phone number if she had any issues (she's around 45-50 years of age).

A few days on, she's been texting me at night, threatening to call the police. This is because one of our rooms is adjacent to her room, about a 30-40 feet gap between the houses, and whenever there is any noise in the room, she is able to hear it. So if my friend makes a phone call in his bedroom, she hears it and is sensitive to the noise. Our windows are closed, and I'm guessing her window isn't, but this is getting quite ridiculous. We have been patient with her complaints, but it is starting to be a big inconvenience to us.

We would like to meet with her and discuss about this issue, but are unsure of what to say and how to approach this. If you have any advice, we would greatly appreciate it. We want to deal with this as cordially as possible, as we're not here for a negative environment, but at the same time, need her to understand that we have to work together on this issue. We also need her to understand that we do have social lives, and may gather a few friends for barbeques or dinner parties at times. Thanks!

I was doing a May 2012 Physics IB paper, and the question asks:

In a nuclear power station, in order to increase the chances of a chain reaction:

I chose D, but the correct answer is A. Why?

Right now, I'm way over the character limit. I need help condensing this sentence as I can't seem to think of any way of condensing it! I think it needs to be restructured to seem more systematic and be easier to read, but I don't know how I could rearrange it.

What is a '3 cm equipment'? I can't find anything about it online!

I managed to find a condo unit to rent for 2 years, with the cost above $3500 a month. I just signed the papers, and the agent is asking for half a month's commission from me. Isn't the commission solely from the owner of the house? I know that the owner is paying a commission too. The property agent did not inform us about us needing to pay him originally.

I was wondering what the legal barriers to entry in Singapore were, to set up your own petrol company (Shell, SPC, Esso/Mobil, Caltex) in Singapore. Like are there tedious legal processes because fuel is a potentially dangerous chemical? Must the company be of a certain size overseas to start up in Singapore?

Hey guys, I want to get a new phone, but I'm not sure which one to get.

I need one which has fast 3G internet speeds (4G enabled being a bonus), can tether its internet (WiFi HotSpot), and has an alphanumerical keypad so I can use T9 whenever I want to (For touchscreens: Able to change the keyboard to that, or presence of an application which can do that).

The closest one I've found is the Samsung Galaxy S II. Are there any others?

I used to drink cytosports cytogainer 20 minutes after going to the gym, then once everyday, unless I didn't go to the gym for a few days. For the past 1 and a half years, I didn't gain much weight from that brand, and it actually just provide 390 calories.

Now I changed to a GNC Weight Gainer 1850, ingredients are maltodextrin, protein blend (whey, egg albumen, dairy whey, calcium casinate), sugar, sugar, cocoa, flavoring, aminogen, carbogen, etc

To get 1850 calories, I need to take 3 cups (390g) of powder, and 24 oz milk, which is too much to drink at once. So I just take half the recommended intake.

My metabolism is quite high, and I'm taking the protein drink to gain weight, and muscle mass.

So should I take the protein shake before working out, after, both, before I sleep, etc?

So we got our Toyota Camry in February 2009, with COE at 2k, so the car plus everything was only 77k. Now the COE is at 60k+. So I was wondering if I could sell my car at something around 110k and transfer the COE to the buyer?

So we have an atom. It then releases an alpha particle, which is helium, with a net charge of 2+. So what happens to the electrons? I know the atom will change to a different element with 2 less protons, but then will the electrons stay on the atom to give it a negative charge? Or must beta particles be emitted whenever alpha are emitted?

Also, if an atom emits a beta particle, its neutron will become an electron and proton. The proton will stay in the atom, while the electron is emitted as a beta particle. As the atom gains one proton, it becomes a new element. But will the atom have a net charge of +1 as there is 1 more proton then neutron?

Like if you BMX a lot or something, because I want to get a Felt Vault, but I need to find out if BMX bikes can cause any spine problems before I get one.

Also, will I get any back problems or something when I cycle long distances (like 10 km) with a BMX (I don't want to get a mountain bike because I wanna go on the skate park, bunny hop, etc)?
