I have finished my first novel and am searching for a literary agent. Having completed my initial search, my list of who to query has been compiled, my query letters (in various formats for each respective agent) are finished, and my synopsis has been painfully brought forth. As a first-time unpublished author, I will be contacting those agents who permit unsolicited submissions, and I will be following their guidelines. I have only included this summary paragraph so you do not need to write an exposition on what one needs to actually send, sparing you some time. Unless, of course, you wish to expand on certain details or mention something I may have overlooked, any wisdom from seasoned writers is graciously accepted.

Anyway, now for my questions. How many agents should I contact at a given time? Typical of a job hunt, should I take the shotgun approach and contact all of them at once, selecting the one I like best and sending a grateful letter of declination to the others, or is it better to go one at a time? Will an agent find it odd or insulting if an author approaches them, and then declines the agents acceptance? If it is best to send out many submissions and I need to pick one and reject the others, would I mention to the others that I have selected a different agent?

I am trying to find the frequency of occurrence of each of the 22 ancient Hebrew characters in the Tanahk or other writings, preferably overall if available (e.g. there are frequency tables for English letters A-Z).

I thought of downloading the Hebrew text and doing my own extraction, but there is a time factor involved in doing this, is the information available elsewhere? I already spent over two hours with Google.

Let's take these implantable devices one step further. Rad this article on the latest technology for implantable electronics and teh potential uses being tested for broadcasting and recieving broadband information directly to the brain. This beneficial technology will help victims of paralysis and other disorders to perform some tasks thtrough these devices. What are your thoughts on these devices enabling direct communication via broadband between two individuals implanted with similar devices (a little more technology is needed, but that does not seem far off)? What are your thoughts these devices could be utelized as the "mark of the beast" in your forehead? Easily, these devices could be used to transmit information - biomedical markers - which are unique to individuals and may be an extremely secure form of identification. I find it amazing how technology is catching up and enabling the scenarios in Revelation to be fully realized in a literal sense. I use these technological advancements to debunk the idea that Social Security, credit Cards, and such are the "number of the beast," as some groups believe. I think this "number" may be something completey different - which we do not have in our transactional systems yet. Thoughts?

I will accept intelligent atheist answers, even if you consider this a hypothetical situation. Trolls, hostiles, and wanna-be debunkers of God - I already know the basics of your answers, try to resist and don't bother answering. I am looking for answers which are well thought out in line with the question with the belief the Bible is true - or at least hypothetically plausible.

I use it frequently, it saves typing and writing. I read about it in some journal a long time ago (can't remember where) and was curious if anyone had any insight as to why it did not "catch on."
