Planned Parenthood does exactly what it says. It helps women to plan their parenthood. Birth control and counseling are always available. Yes, they also do perform a legal procedure called an abortion.

If you actually go to their website and not some politically slanted site, the organization is wonderful. They gave me health care for years when I had no money for my health, let alone food or rent. All I had was a small co-pay. What other recognized health facility is willing to do that? Not many I can think of.

OK that site is a bit weird I guess they try different ways of getting to people but people especially young people need to know how to take good care of their reproductive organs etc. and from what I've heard about Planned Parenthood they provide good information and care to people.

Planned Parenthood is definitely a good thing since religious institutions aren't providing any meaningful form of sexual education. Abstinence only is not a realistic form of birth control. We are mammals with the instinct to reproduce.
