I am in desperate need of some advice. In March of this year I got a car from a dealership in MD and have realized that it wasn't worth the investment. AT ALL. Soon after I noticed that the AC wasn't working; diagnosis says the lower AC line is leaking. It came with NO spare tire and the front driver tire has a bump, apparently the last owner hit the curb. And the worst part, the engine is burning oil.

I've realized that this car was a complete mistake and I've been trying to save up some money so that I can sell it, but it's not easy when I'm only making enough to pay my bills. The dealer warranty was over a month after I got it, and manufacturer warranty has still got time but all I want to do is get rid of it. Can I make the dealer take it back? What can I do in this situation? I'm basically at the end of my rope, it's exhausting trying to keep up with this horrible investment.

I live in VA, the car was bought in MD. I want to get rid of it; what are my options?

I have just recently bought a car: Nissan Maxima 07, & it did not pass emissions test because the service engine light came on. I thought it was because it needed oil but after putting some oil in it the engine light did not go away and the low oil pressure light was STILL on. I took a look in the oil cap and needless to say, it looked bad. It looks like the oil was never changed and the car is at 50k mileage. It's extremely dirty and oil is burnt into the top of the measuring stick. I took it to a mechanic and they suggested I take the car right back to the dealer. That's exactly what I did, and they're giving me two options; 1. Try to fix the problem. or 2. Trade in the vehicle for another. (which will be a lower price than what I paid since it's a trade-in). My questions are:

1. Can this problem be fixed? (Can the engine be cleaned out or will it inevitably fail?)

2. What can I do about the dealer's offer? Can I fight this? Or do I have to conform to his two options?

If it makes a difference, I got the car in MD and I live in VA.

I am writing about how the youth's mind is affected after being released from Juvenile Detention Centers. My argument is for the Detention Centers. Okay so I was driving on the highway and all of a sudden I see the rubber part of a tire come out of nowhere. I didn't have enough time to stop and I didn't react fast enough to go around it so I went over it. I heard something dragging so I pulled over at the nearest gas station and checked for any damage under the car and sure enough, there was this big plastic thing hanging down to the ground. It looks alot like the grills that people have in the front of their cars [it isn't though] but it's plastic and it looks like it would be made to guard another part. I don't want to drive my car around without knowing the possible consequences and Google was no help. Please look at the picture and tell me if you know what it is or where I can find out what it is? Thanks! (By the way it's a 1993 Saturn SL1 if that helps any!)
