Can someone please tell me what fell from under my car? Help?! [picture included]?

Okay so I was driving on the highway and all of a sudden I see the rubber part of a tire come out of nowhere. I didn't have enough time to stop and I didn't react fast enough to go around it so I went over it. I heard something dragging so I pulled over at the nearest gas station and checked for any damage under the car and sure enough, there was this big plastic thing hanging down to the ground. It looks alot like the grills that people have in the front of their cars [it isn't though] but it's plastic and it looks like it would be made to guard another part. I don't want to drive my car around without knowing the possible consequences and Google was no help. Please look at the picture and tell me if you know what it is or where I can find out what it is? Thanks! (By the way it's a 1993 Saturn SL1 if that helps any!)

that is actual a rip-off. the e-mail is so crammed with pink flags, that is not even humorous. a million. the guy is advertising a vehicle for various grand below that is somewhat worth, and he's keen to pay the transport expenditures himself. 2. He needs to apply a 0.33 social gathering broking carrier to handle the money replace. 3. he's advertising it because of fact his job moved him to a distinctive u . s . a .. 4. you need to make a deposit, and additionally you will receive 5 days to ascertain the vehicle, after which you would be able to return it for an entire refund. the seller could even pay the return transport expenditures!!! this could properly be a textbook occasion of the previous adage "If it sounds too stable to be real, it probable is." Run, do no longer walk faraway from this deal.

i think that may be a heat shield. it's supposed to cover the bottom of the catalytic converter to help prevent fires. for example, if you park over some dead leaves or a paper bag gets stuck under your car.

it goes under the front bumper, if you don't care you can chuck it, only a cosmetic piece.
