What can I do about my car?..?
I am in desperate need of some advice. In March of this year I got a car from a dealership in MD and have realized that it wasn't worth the investment. AT ALL. Soon after I noticed that the AC wasn't working; diagnosis says the lower AC line is leaking. It came with NO spare tire and the front driver tire has a bump, apparently the last owner hit the curb. And the worst part, the engine is burning oil.
I've realized that this car was a complete mistake and I've been trying to save up some money so that I can sell it, but it's not easy when I'm only making enough to pay my bills. The dealer warranty was over a month after I got it, and manufacturer warranty has still got time but all I want to do is get rid of it. Can I make the dealer take it back? What can I do in this situation? I'm basically at the end of my rope, it's exhausting trying to keep up with this horrible investment.
I live in VA, the car was bought in MD. I want to get rid of it; what are my options?
Thanks for the help, most helpful answer gets the points!

You have waited long enough that your options are limited. Try getting as much fixed as possible through the remaining warranty and then sell it or trade it on a car you want. Next time, pay a Professional to check out the car for you. It will be some of the cheapest insurance you can get.

Huh...still has manufacturers warranty.
Engine would be prob be covered in the typically limited powertrain, aka, drivetrain warranty for the oil burning; but ac & tires wouldnt be.
But dealer owed you a safe car, and the bad tire isnt safe.
But manufacturer will prob try to evade responsibility by alleging oil burning is due to lack of service.
I'd call abt 10 MD lawyers in the area where the seller is and ask for advice on the phone. It's usually free: they'r scrutinizing you as a potential client.
Have all your documentation, etc, handy.
Research the VIN, vehicle Id number, w/ at least 3 carfax like services. Maybe it's Salvage/Rebuilt that just "slipped through" the Seller's checks.
Also call state and county consumer protection depts.
Some states have good Implied Warranty laws where you could return a car like that for a refund.
Consider small claims court too.

No, you can't make the dealer do anything. You can either work with the dealer while under warranty to fix things the warranty covers, or you can sell it and pay off the loan, or you can trade it in on something else and lose a bundle of money.
There is no right to return a vehicle after the sale.

so some distance as i comprehend, whoever "hits" has the legal duty or is "at fault". In different words, coverage firms and regulation enforcements viewpoint is, "while you're following each and all of the policies of the line and risk-free practices, there is by no skill any reason to hit something." Now, if there substitute into ice on the line, that would atleast make issues lean extra on your prefer, yet i think of you're able to have a photograph taken that day of the stretch of highway you slid on. it is why they say you're able to continuously have atleast a disposable digicam on your motor vehicle to take a photograph of an accident and accident scene on the day of the accident, alongside with a cellular telephone, your coverage education, motive force's license and registration. hopefully you have motor vehicle coverage that would pay even no rely if it is your fault, or if no longer, a lot of acquaintances and relatives which will help you in this time of disaster. there's a lot of different aspects to evaluate: substitute into the two of the drivers using at the same time as impaired, or in a hurry, did the two bypass away the scene of the accident earlier regulation enforecement arrived, what form of autos have been in touch, did the two have motor vehicle coverage-dl license-registration-and so on... So hopefully, perhaps there is different aspects that are on your prefer here. In the two case, this is a take-heed call to continuously force accurately and defensively and save as a lot area between you and different shifting autos or gadgets as plausible, have a seat belt on, and have no distractions like listening to the radio, ingesting, ingesting, speaking on a cellular telephone, and so on... i comprehend all this by using fact i've got been using for years now, and have basically been in some injuries. In each accident different than one, somebody hit me and for some reason none of them even had a motive force's license!!!! interior the accident the place I hit somebody, I rear ended somebody, basically such as you probably did. So considering that I "hit", it substitute into my fault, even regardless of the incontrovertible fact that the motor vehicle in front of me stopped short and particularly quickly, no longer giving me any time to end. the only ingredient that saved me substitute into that the motor vehicle I hit left the scene of the accident, and, from what I comprehend, it substitute into some style of coverage scam on the area of the different motive force.
