When It Happens - Colasanti

A Great and Terrible Beauty Trilogy - Libba Bray (Seriously, one of the best series' I have read)

Romance novels by James Patterson

And, if you want to try something a bit different, give Pride & Prejudice a shot, by Jane Austen. I really enjoyed it. The newest movie is great too.

look for Janet Evanovich's books. they are ah-mazing. For the mushy romance but still funny (like a book version of a chic flick) check out her first novels:

"Foul Play", "Thanksgiving", "Manhunt", "Wife for Hire", "Smitten", "Love Overboard", "Rocky Road to Romance", "Back to the Bedroom", etc. There are a ton.

For more mystery but still funny and romance check out her "Full" series including:

"Full Scoop", "Full Tilt", "Full Bloom", "Full House" etc

(none of these need to be read in a specific order)

then there are the Stephanie Plum books (my personal favorites)

they are mystery meets thriller meets romance but absolutely hilarious

I would read them in order:

One for the Money, Two for the Dough, Three to Get Deadly, Four to Score, High Five, Hot Six, Seven Up, Hard Eight, To the Nines, etc

(there are 15 so far)

there are also "between the numbers" Stephanie Plum books that usually correspond to the Holidays like "Visions of Sugar Plums" (Christmas), "Plum Lovin'" (V-day), Plum Spooky (halloween), etc

these between the #s books don't have to be in any specific order

but yeah Janet Evanovich is an amazing author she is hilarious but her books always have romantic and thrilling twist. You'll love 'em they are perfect for summer reading
