Hi so I am trying to crop a picture so I just have the image selected, then paste that image on top of another picture (using GIMP). So I was able to crop it using the paths tool without any problems but every time I try to copy and paste it into the second picture, all that happens is it crops the second picture into the shape of the first image. I have tried copying it normally and doing "copy visible" as well as trying to invert the image just in case but that doesn't work.

When pasting it I have tried creating duplicate layers of the second image first, doing paste as new layer, etc. But it always does the same thing. I know I did it before without problems so what is going wrong this time? I feel like it shouldn't be this complicated to paste an image onto another image!

So for the past 4-5 months I've been having a lot of problems with night sweats. Sometimes it's mild and just slightly uncomfortable, but other nights I wake up completely soaked and sometimes wake up in the middle of the night, have to change completely and even put a blank over my sheets because they are wet too. Which sounds gross, but it's true. And it's not like I'm even that overheated because I don't sleep with a lot of cover, just a comforter and my room is fairly cold at night.

The other weird thing that has been happening recently, especially in the past month or so is me randomly throwing up. It's usually more towards the morning (and NO I'm definitely not pregnant!) and I will sometime wake up and throw up or feel okay and then get super nauseated an hour or so later and then throw up. And sometimes it happens more than once. Even days when I don't throw up I still feel nauseous a lot. But I never have a fever so it's not like it's the flu and it never last more than an hour or so (I've never thrown up more than twice), so why is it. I eat the same thing for breakfast every day and some days it's fine so I doubt it's that. And it isn't always in the morning, it happens in the afternoon/evening sometimes too. It's just weird that both of these are happening at the same time and for such an extended time, when it's definitely not the flu.

A couple years ago I was having cluster headaches that would last seconds-minutes but would sometimes make it hard to see so I got an MRI done on my head to check for tumors and aneurysms and there was nothing. So it's not anything like that, although the cluster headaches have been getting kind of worse lately.

Any ideas would be great! I'm considering seeing a doctor if it doesn't get better soon but idk what could be causing it. I take medication for things but none of them have night sweats or nausea/vomiting as side effects.

So I have a fairly old MacBook Pro that got passed down to me several years ago. I know most Macs come with iLIfe (iPhoto, iMovie, Garage Band, etc) but they are not listed under my applications and I really don't want to pay for them since I feel like they would've been on here at some point. How do I go about downloading them back onto my computer? Going to the Apple store is not exactly ideal because I'm abroad for the semester.

So starting on Saturday my boyfriend started getting these really frequent nosebleeds, as in an average of five a day ranging from slight amount of blood to gushing blood. Before Saturday he had never gotten a nosebleed before but now they happen all the time. At his work an EMT there looked at it and thought it was just a cut or from the humidity but nosebleeds usually occur when it is dry, right? And it is always the same nostril so a cut might be possible it just seems extreme to get 29 nosebleeds in six days from a cut. I just want to make sure it couldn't be anything more serious that he should see a doctor for. My main reason for concern is a sudden and severe weight loss (15 lbs in 3 weeks) so could this have anything to do with the nosebleeds, anemia or something? I don't really know but if you have any insight on nosebleeds it would be very helpful to find out a cause for this and well really any insight at all. THANKS!!!

So I'm doing an exchange in southern France for 3 weeks and i have no idea what to bring. How many euros would you reccomend? and any ideas to give my host family? what are some things that we have in the usa that they don't. And this sound like a really stupid question but what should I pack to wear cuz its really hot but they don't wear shorts so should i go with skirts and sundresses or jeans or what? and what kind of shoes because i want something comfortable so converse maybe?

sorry that was a lot but yeah basically what clothing/shoes would be appropriate and what gift should i get my host family that is very american?

I think i may be in a partially mentally abusive relationship. I mean i love him and he means the world to me but he tend to flip over small things and make me responsible, be hypocritical about those types of things, and expect me to be perfect. Saying things that make me feel stupid, insignificant, and like a failure. But only sometimes. But I love him. How do I know if this is emotional abuse and what do I do? How do I fix or change it? I just want to make things better so I stop crying all the time...i hate it. I hate feeling like I'm walking on eggshells around him. HELP!

I have been having an issue with my Singer Inspiration that I just got for Christmas. It has been working fairly well until today when the bobbin on the bottom kept getting thread wrapped around it and the bottom stitching was very very loose while the top was fine. I tried adjusting the tension but it only affected the top stitches. So basically how do I not have the bottom stitching insanely loose (as in so loose it got all tangled and knotted and hung down about an inch) because obviously it is impossible to sew with it so out of wack. So yeah. I'm trying to sew a skirt for my brother's graduation on thursday so help ASAP would be GREAT

So i have prom tonight so of COURSE I got my period yesterday and today is the worst day. super tampons last me 2 hours if im lucky and I am bloated and cramping so freaking badly. I'm 15, never been on birth control but I really need this pain to stop by tonight because I can barely walk without doubling over. my cramps have never been this bad. What should I do? Please, please help!!!!

I have to do the children's lesson at a church for girl scout sunday and I don't teach kids or anything religious very often and I need help on interpreting this info and how to present it to kids. Here is what I was sent about it:

In the past few weeks/months (I don't really know when it started) I have started to feel overwhelmingly depressed. It feels like nothing I do is good enough anymore, I fail at everything and I can never seem to be good enough for anyone. I can't sleep well and the smallest things have made me upset/sad/cry. Every so often I just think of suicide and dying and I don't want to die. I just don't understand though. This isn't me. I'm usually a very outgoing and optimistic person but recently everything has just become so hopeless even though there isn't really one thing I can pinpoint. I just don't know what's wrong. I took this test on some psychology website and my results were moderate/severe depression I just don't know what to do. Because I don't seem like the kind of person who would be depressed no one will take me seriously and when I say I'm upset no one believes me. I'm really not saying all this cuz I want attention and it just makes it all seem more hopeless. I know my family loves me but they will never take me seriously. I have a boyfriend who really loves me but he had a rough childhood so I don't want to tell him because I'm afraid he won't believe me and because there I don't have a good reason for feeling this way I just am. So what do I do? I want to stop feeling this way and I want to know what is wrong? Who do I tell? Who do I go to? Please please help I need to talk to someone and I need someone to really believe me and who can help me

My cat whom i have had for almost ten years has started peeing throughout my house. She did it occasionally the past months but it got much worse after we got a kitten in December. We took her to a vet to make sure their was no health related cause and there wasn't. The vet suggested we put in a new litter box (we had 1 for 3 cats) and that helped for a bit but now she still pees around the house again. Her litter box is always clean and she is never stuck in rooms when it happens, she even goes outside time to time so I don't understand what is causing it and how to fix it.

The problem is if it isn't fixed by the time the weather gets warm my mom is making her become an outside cat. My cat is insanely close to me and means the world to be so I really want to be able to keep her inside especially since my friends outdoor cat was just killed by a dog so I'm extra paranoid. I would do anything to keep my cat indoors so how do I stop the peeing. Please, please help any of you with cat experience. What can I do?
