i know this is painfully late, but i owe my dad something nice (he got me a laptop last year).

he's a nerdy guy- he loves biking, crossword puzzles, monty python, camping, jazz, and cooking, and he used to be a math teacher. he's not at all into fancy little things like ties or cheeses or wine. he has all the tools he will ever need. also, i'm on a pretty tight budget. please don't say "ask him"- i have, and if he had given me a reasonable answer, i wouldn't be here.

my best friend is insecure because she's a bit big, so she shows off her large chest. call me a prude, but she's pretty young to be showing off her girls. myself and the rest of her friends (who are all flatter-and skinnier- than her) tell her everyday, try to joke about it, and threaten to buy her high-necked tops, but she just blows me off, annoyed or amused. whenever i mention my friend to my mom, she goes off in a rant about how low her tops are, and frankly, it's embarrassing. and the most annoying part is, she's always talking and complaining about how so and so was staring at her boobs.

because i know i'll get useless comments about this, i want to clarify that i'm not jealous. i like being able to run without jiggling.

so, my best friend (let's call her laura) and another friend ("jojo") have a crush on the same guy ("simon"). at first they were cool with it, but laura "let slip" to a bigmouthed girl ("tanya") that jojo had a crush on simon, and now jojo is holding a grudge against laura. even though laura's always saying how much she and tanya hate each other, i recently caught tell of a facebook chat between them talking about what a b***** jojo was being lately. this isn't the first time i've found out they were chatting, despite their "hate" for each other, and laura has a history of constant lying just to get attention.

try to understand: i don't want to lose any friends, even laura, who is normally actually a good friend. i just want to confront her and help clear things up between laura and jojo.

my best friend has had a crush on this guy forever. i started liking him recently, and the thing is, he likes me back. my BFF is literally obsessed with him to a point of stalkerish-ness, and he doesn't like her. i'm not absolutely crazy about him like she is, but she's kind of dramatic, and if i got involved with him, she would be totally devastated. how do i keep myself away from him?

my friend and i are writing a short play about a girl (vinnie) whose grandmother (agnes) is a hollywood legend. agnes wants her to be in a movie remake of grease, but vinnie doesn't want to be an actress. in the end, with help from her best friend (zara), she finally convinces her grandma that she shouldn't be in grease. it's a comedy.

i'm in middle school, but my room looks like it did in third grade. so, i've decided to paint two walls dark purple, one wall orange, and one wall more of a lavender color (to tone down the other colors). do you think that dark purple and bright orange are too overwhelming?

i have a lot of white/wood mismatched furniture in my room, and a huge corner window that lets in a lot of light.

-middle school girls who wear skimpier clothes and heavier makeup as vogue cover models.

My best friend is flirty and boy crazy. I'm more on the quiet side, and wondering if I should take a leaf out of my friend's book.

My little cousin got into my makeup and decided to use it on several of her Barbie dolls. However, when we tried to clean the dolls, the makeup left weird stains all over Barbie. Does anyone know how to get makeup stains off plastic??
