Many times i have earned myself "Best Answer" for the answers i give based on common knowledge (or it's supposed to be). One of the biggest things lately is people asking about why this is updating all the time or i can't access my (insert social media site here) using the app on Windows 8/10. When did it become easier to use an app on your computer/laptop over what was already there for you in the first place through your browser? I find that there is no need to use apps for common stuff like FB and Ebay when the sites themselves work perfectly fine. What do you guys think?

Do you guys think it's possible that the developers who create programs might not know how to use them?

I know it seems like a silly question, but its 2:30am and i'm bored. x)

My brother in-laws ex-wife recently passed away and while cleaning out all the memories they had together he found one of her old laptops among other things, which he gave to me. The laptop works great as far as i can tell, but i cannot log into it. He doesn't know the password she used and can't make heads or tails of the hint she left.

Anyways, i want to do a fresh install of OSX Lion. I have the dmg file from when i bought Lion, but have no idea of how to use it. I'm a Windows person with no knowledge of how Macs work. I did a little research to find that the lappy i have is basically only compatible with Lion.

Here are the questions that i have:

1: How do i burn/convert said dmg file to a DVD from a Windows system to be read as bootable to do the fresh install?

2: Does Macbook (early 2008) support USB boot/install, if so, how do i go about that.

I recently followed a tutorial on how to get to the "disk utility" screen but none of the commands (button prompts) have worked. No matter what i do, i always end up back at the login screen. I've also used PowerIso to convert the dmg to an ISO and burned it to a DVD, but that just puts a big NO symbol on my screen when i try to boot from the disk. THAT i believe is because of the speed i burned it at. Many tuts say to burn at 4x, but my burner doesn't go under 8x. So I'm looking for a workaround for that also.

I tried using PowerIso to create a bootable USB but get errors every time. Any help would be nice...

I was wondering not to long ago and just finally came to ask it here, do big cats go nuts over laser pointers like domesticated small cats?

I'm currently in the process of making a game. At the moment i'm modeling the scenes and objects for this game. The idea is a space simulation type of game, open world RPG with RTS and FPS elements in some aspects. It's sort of a mixture between the X series (X3 Reunion is my fave), Homeworld, Nexus: The Jupiter incident and Halo (in some situations). The game is mostly going to be in space though. What engine is preferable for space games of this caliber?

Do you prefer that an established rapper (e.g. Jay-Z, DMX, Nas) rap about the same things they've been rapping about their whole career or do you respect when they change their style and lyrical content?

For me it really depends. DMX for instance, his "Undisputed" album was TRASH (except for 1 song "What they don't know" http://youtu.be/qYTu8PUG1WY ).

On the same note, Jadakiss still spits with that 90's style which i appreciate because thats the Jada i like best.

What are your thoughts on this?

I'm looking to buy (if possible) an older version of After Effects without having to upgrade my OS from XP Pro 64bit and use the newer version (of AE or the OS). I just ran a trial version of AE 5.5 hoping it would work but it doesn't. I'm very satisfied with the speed and abilities of XP, more so than Win7 or 8 (totally not touching Vista) and want to stay here for a while. So if anyone has had any experience with possibly the last good version of AE that runs on XP (64bit), i'd appreciate it if you shared your info. Thanks.

I'm not looking for anything too particular, just some plugins that help during modeling. I have a couple right now but i feel i can always use more. Please don't give me the "Google it" skit. I've done that already. I want suggestions from experienced users, even if you've tried it once and it worked. 64Bit only.

Greeble (an awesome free plugin that makes building-like shapes... Good for making city scenes)

Ghost Town (Better than Greeble. It actually makes city blocks and textures them, also adding trees, cars and other things. Pretty much an all in one city maker).

I was just reading Genesis 22:1-16 and i thought that i would be so upset at my father if he took me to a mountain and tried to kill me because God said to. That had to scare the cheese wiz out of him at some point. :)

Years ago i used a specific terrain generator to create height-maps for BF2 map making. Today i'm here looking for that same program but i cannot remember the name of it for the life of me. I've tried several and Google has not been helpful other than showing me progs other than the one im looking for. This particular prog allows users to create height-maps AND roads. If anyone can give me a few names to check out, i'd appreciate it.

I'm editing a few files (basically trying to cheat) for Nexus: The Jupiter Incident. I just don't know what the max skill level for any of the characters is or the max rank. If anyone has modded or played with the ini files (i do understand that this is a very old game) please help me out. Everything is ready to be changed i just don't know the max i can go without getting errors or crashes. Thanks.
