  • Anyone familiar with Santa Monica beach area?

I was wondering, what's the best place to park if I just want to go for a 5-10 mile run along the coast? Also, I've only been to Santa Monica on the weekends which was always packed, so it's hard for me to drive around and explore the are more. Is the traffic still bad during the weekdays around 10am-2pm?

  • Is 2 miles (Outdoors) in 15 minutes a decent time for a 6'0 260lb guy?

Wasn't easy but also wasn't hard for me. Is that time decent for a guy my size? I did this run today 4 hours after a 2 hour weight training session and a 40 minute treadmill walk.

  • How hard is "Principles of inorganic chemistry" for someone who never had a chem class? (college)?

I have never taken a chemistry class in my life. Here's the class description:

"Principles of inorganic chemistry including measurements, structure, nomenclature, reactions, radioactivity, energy, properties of matter, acids/bases and solutions. For Allied Health majors such as nursing, dental hygiene, radiation technology."

My strength are in memorization and math ( excel in Algebra, geometry/trig., and Calculus).

Assuming I have a great professor, would this subject still be very difficult?

  • Need help joining a gym, any current/ past 24 Hour Fitness members?

Called in two local gyms already and almost got ripped off by both already. Thinking about joining 24 Hour Fitness through online.

    1. They are asking 2 options : Sport Level and Super Sport Level. Whats the difference? I just want to use the free weights and cardio machines.

    2. Access to Multiple Clubs : Does that mean I can use my membership to any other 24 hour fitness?

    3. Is it easy to cancel your membership?

  • Non- NBA / NCAAB sports fans : Why do you hate Basketball?

Just curious, I know there are many sports fans out there that hate watching college basketball or the NBA.

Whats so bad about the sport? It's almost a "complete" sport:

    - Demands incredible athleticism: Speed, Jumping, Strength, and Endurance.

    - Plenty of skills requirement: Shooting, dribbling, defending, court recognition

-Entertainment : High scoring, fast pace, LOTS of highlight plays every single game:

~ Fade away shots, dunks, circus shots, incredible layups, crossovers, dunking on someone, an incredible shot over another player, a great block, a great or crafty pass, etc.

-Lead changes : There are plenty of this, and cant think of any other major teamsport that does more consistent lead changes than the NBA / NCAAB

-Superstar system : This is like the biggest part of the NBA. Its almost, if not, bigger than any sports in America.

-Team game and or One/two man domination: Basketball is always a team game, but one or two guys can take over the game.

The NBA has the full package of team sports compared to other major sports in America.

So why do you hate / don't watch basketball?

  • Whats the most difficult part of physics?

I'm about to take a phyics class for the first time, in college. (General Physics) What is the most difficult part of physics? My friend in HS said physics was really easy and cant find a difficult part about it, but he's a naturally smart guy. But others say the math part of physics kills them, but obviously they do not like math. However I love math, and fully understand it, but just curious about physics, just abit nervous right now..

Whats the hard part of physics in your opinion?

  • 4 Miles in 35 minutes on Treadmill vs 6 miles 1.5 hours outdoors?

is 4 Miles in 35 minutes on treadmill as good as 6 miles in 1 hour and a half outdoors?

I can walk/jog longer out door because its much more fun, but the problem is, im flat footed so its very painful when i run for about 30 seconds, so my jogging is very limited out doors, and consisting mostly of walking.

However, on the treadmill, I can run for 35 minutes with about only 1 or 2 one minute walk, it bores me to death but no pain at all, which i prefer.

Are treadmill just as efficient as outdoors?

    thanks
