With regards to Nick Griffin's scandalous and in my opinion not necessary appearance in BBC's Question time I would like to know how the abuse of Freedom of Speech is dealt with in democratic Liberalism? Does it state any relation to this issue? I'd be happy to see some reference to evidence if you make a statement though. Thanks very much

Hello, I'm studying International Politics at University of East London. So far the course hasn't really started since it's Freshers Week. But yesterday when I registered for the Modules I got a bit of a shock when I saw it's only 5 other people who do the same course as me, two of whom are in their 60s I suppose. I will obviously give it a go first, but I'm slightly worried about the quality of the course and how to study with. So, is there any chance I can apply to other Unis in London?

I have applied to Universities in London but now I'm starting to get quite worried as so many people tell you it's difficult to get to know people there. I know it's harder in a big city, does it not depend on the indiviual, though? I think if you're an open-minded, chatty person you do meet people, or am I completely wrong?

Just the plain paper, not folded or cut.

Maybe that's not the correct term for it, I don't know, but is there a certain online shop for these sort of things?

I'm a student, moving to Edinburgh in about 2 months but I'm having great difficulties with finding a suitable flatshare, thus I thought why not ask if anyone here could print a bulletin (PDF) that has all the information needed to put it on a black board at uni/college/..?

Is there any difference between "Advanced Higher level" and "Higher National Certificate"? And which is 'better'? I have actually heard one is more likely to be accepted at uni with an Advanced Higher Level..is that true? thanks

I've recently asked a question about whether I should study in Edinburgh or Liverpool.

Now the discs have turned and I've even been given the choice of going to Bristol.

What do you think? which place has more of a metropolis-flair? which city keeps people busy&bustling? and can bristol keep up with edin's vital scenery?

I've actually never been to bristol but i heard it should be quite modern and still offering a great range of cultural opportunities.

I am a german student, moving to either liverpool or edinburgh in august. I'll have to make a decision by the end of this month, but to be honest i'm not sure which of these two cities would be the better choice.

liverpool is kind of more central whereas edinburgh has more cultural things to offer, though i don't like the scottish accent =p but should i really consider that ? liverpool ,though, is culture capital 2008. aarrgghh...what a difficult question

what do you think?which is more modern? which place is better for students?

with this issue i dont want to put the existence of dandies nowadays in question, like discuss whether a prototype of a dandy still exists or not rather than ask what you think of them due to their lack of interest in many things especially when it comes to political issues..?

I'm going to start an access course in september and to be honest I'm more than just nervous.

what an advice would you give me for the interview in order to get accepted? the main reason why I'm scared is because English's not my native language, in addition the stuff you learn at school in Germany is quite different from the one you learn in England.

Grob wissen viele Menschen was ein Dandy ist, doch geben geläufige Definitionen oftmals nur Erklärungen wie ein Dandy zu Anfang des 18. bzw 19. Jahrhunderts gelebt hat.

Aber wie glaubt ihr könnte man einen Dandy im modernen Sinne definieren?

Sei etwa 4 Wochen nun nehme ich Mirtazipin.

Von der stimmungsaufhellenden Wirkung habe ich bisher nichts spüren können [damit rechne ich auch noch nicht!], jedoch schien ich die letzten Wochen gut einschlafen zu können und dabei noch sehr tief zu schlafen.

Seit drei Tagen aber schlafe ich nur noch sehr unruhig und schlecht, Alpträume plagen mich wieder und selbst nach 8-10h Schlaf fühle ich mich unentspannt und müde.

Sind das eventuelle Nebenwirkungen oder woran könnte es sonst liegen?

Oder welche Fortschritte kamen mit der Einführung dieser Medikamente in die Medizin?

Ich habe die Cicero nun schon seit einer Weile abonniert und bin mir nicht mehr ganz sicher ob ich das Abo nicht wieder beenden soll, da es mir so vorkommt, als ob die politische Richtung der Artikel darin eine Rechtswelle erleben..oder liege ich da falsch?
