The day the Jello disappeared?
So, one day I had goofed up when making Jello (Dark Cherry) and put in double the water. I only realized this when it was not firm after 7 hours. I then took the Jello, heated it until it started bubbling, and mixed in another packet (Lemon) . It was too hot to handle, so I left it to cool out in open air (inside, not outside) on the back burners (Yes, they were off) of the stove top. 3 hours later, it had disappeared, with a small layer of Jello on the bottom of my pot. None of my family touched it.
I want to know if one of these happened:
1. 4 CUPS of water evaporated in 3 hours.
2. This is completely crazy and our dog drank it.
3. Paranormal Jello?

My guess.... someone ate it and isn't fessing up :p

This is called spontaneous dejelloing. It happened a lot in my house while I was growing up.

Something drank it. If the burner was boiling it constantly, then yes, that's evaporation. On a turned off burner, someone did something to it.
