Will I be forced to do 3 on 4 off for ROTC contracting?

I am currently serving in the army reserve and had planned on going to college and attending ROTC so as to become an officer. I want to just do the 3 years after college (Active of course). I have heard rumors that they try to sneak you into an added 4 years as a reserve officer afterwards is this true I do not want to be a reservist anymore I find it to be a large waste of time and just destroys my freedoms and my ability to advance myself seeing as I can never make plans for my future without worrying about whether or not ill be pulled away for some ignorant and useless training they have me lead. ( bonus question is it normal for a private to fill an E-6 slot?)
