Why would anyone be willing to accept Obamacare?

you have totally mis-interpreted why these groups are against Obamacare. All of these benefit from "Cadillac" plans (in corporations, just the executives). Benefits that an employee gets can be taxed as income or not. For example the value of having a company car for private use is taxable. Healthcare insurance is traditionally not taxed as income. However under Obamacare the extra value of Cadillac super benefited healthcare insurance will be charged as income to the employee and thus subject to income tax. These people want the freebie they used to get pre-Obamacare, the idea that they must take personal responsibility for any cost of healthcare is what they reject. sorry, these people won't get their tax exemptions for the things the rest of us have to pay for out of income. So yes i am for Obamacare because it finally hits the fat cats with the financial burden the rest of us have always paid.

Well, the main reason is that I believe every person should have access to affordable health care. I don't think that should be a privilege reserved only for the "haves." Aren't we the only civilized country without health care access for all citizens?

Secondly, because it's going to benefit me. Although I know my family is not the only one. I'm sure there are lots of us. The insurance plan through my husband's work costs 18% of our gross income. And 24% of our net. That's a huge chunk. That's robbery. It's not affordable. It's a rip-off. Not to mention that we still have to pay $2500 or some such thing before they start covering. Plus $30 copay. Plus a pretty big portion of lots of meds. Plus, plus, plus. I have no money left after that to even pay a copay if I want to eat and heat my home.

It makes my stomach turn how they turn people's health (and life, at times) into their profit. There needs to be change! The insurance business is disgusting. Now, it's changing. I don't know if it's the perfect solution. Maybe not. But at least he's trying.

People can choose for themselves which plan they want from the exchange. The ones picking up the slack will be people making over 400% of the poverty level from my understanding. That's not the poor and working poor. Anyone under that level will qualify for subsidies.

I think it's a good think.

It is not a matter of accepting it or not, it is not a healthcare plan. The law just says you need to have a way to pay for your visits to the doctor. If you have insurance privately or through your employer, you get some perks and opportunity to expand your coverage depending on your needs the health exchanges.

The health exchanges list all insurance companies offering different rates, it also will list doctors and other providers along with their price list, same with hospitals, price lists, price lists.

If you cannot afford to buy health insurance, your States has already taken the money from the Federal Government to expand Medicare. In this instance, it is very important you maintain a healthy lifestyle you get better benefits.

I hope that someday you don't have you watch someone you love (if you love anyone but yourself and your money) die because you don't have the money to get them the care they need. I would take it 10 times over rather than watch a family member die. A big wig in the Romney campaign is waiting to get it. He was laid off after the campaign has cancer and can't get healthcare. He is one. I'm reading stories everywhere of people waiting so they can finally get treatment. I know you are probably like a conservative friend of mine who says "Let them die in the streets like India!". He is a good Catholic by the way. Jesus wept!

Congress (and their staff) are NOT excluded from "Obamacare." In fact, it's just the opposite. By LAW (The Grassley amendment) they MUST particiapte in the exchanges.

Oh, and Unions and big corporations aren't excluded either.

obamacare is a DEMAND of and by a president ....

NOT a request of, or by, the American People.

Because, for the uninsurable, it's the only way to get insurance.

Because people need medical insurance. Rich people don't pay for theirs but middle class has to.
