Need help retraining and have an asignment need more retainabilty... however?

Wow that's a lot of info. I know AFPC just dropped all the job openings for this year for cross training. If you can't get to your next tech school before your DOS I guess you are going to have to get a waiver like you said or if you could settle for a different AFSC you could pick another one where you will go to tech school before your DOS but you will lose your slot for the job you wanted. But if you aren't able to cross train to the job you want anyway because they won't give you the waiver and you don't have enough retainability then you still lost anyway. It's a pretty complicated matter. Try and talk to MPF more about it and see what they can do. I wouldn't reenlist if you don't like your current job though because then you are going to have to wait another 3 years at least to cross train again. I know all this sucks and it's confusing. I'm in Security Forces and I hate it. Trying to cross train myself and go into combat control. Sorry I really couldn't help you more. Good Luck.
