Health care as a self-employed?

Can anyone tell me how it works here in the UK with health care cover when you have your own Ltd. ?

I've just started my own business and need dental insurance.

Can this be deducted from the tax? How much of the fees can be deducted?

None of it.  When you are a limited company you are in effect an employee of the company and you cannot set off your personal expenses against tax.

dental insurance for one person is rarely worth the cost - it is still not going to pay 100% of the cost when you go so unless you are expecting to get major work done like a crown, you won't save much if anything having insurance

Lilly is correct - also if the company pays the premiums this will be a taxable benefit on you.
