Is it true that you're more likely to get pregnant if both partners orgasm?

i'm really trying to get pregnant here and i read somewhere online that when both partners orgasm, the female body holds on to 15%-90% of the sperm but if the female doesn't orgasm then her body will only hold on to 0%-15%.... is this acurate or what??? or do both of us have to come at the same time????

Yes, because the muscles of the vagina contract and pull the sperm up better. I asked my doctor and recently seen a conceiving show on the discovery channel, you also need to be ovulating though.

Yes it is so true. With all three of my kids this happen. I am actually checking around because I might be expecting again. We weren't planning it but a couple weeks ago we had a good night, kids were in bed and well you know the rest. So if your trying both partners should orgasm for a better result.

The experience I have with my 4 child is very unusual coz that tiem my hubby had a flu due to a climate change when we have our vacation in Asia. but a month after that session happen we are both surprised that i conceived which i didn't even know coz i'm still doing my jogging every morning until i did not feel good and go to the hospital which i'm thinking i have a flu too. My dad said to em your pregnant with a smile in his face. i didn't believed it until i have the frog test in the hospital. My doctor back here was very veyr surrpised coz he check me twice before i leave the country. now my miracle baby is 8 years old. so for my opinion its not the orgasm that plays the important rule in conceiving but yoru sperm count, yoru free of stress, both mind and body, the food youe at and the sleep you have. the lifestyle in short. goodluck.

Not sure of those percentages, but when a woman orgasms it causes contractions/spasms that help to move the sperm upward. This is the biological reason for orgasm. It does help if it is done at close to the same time.

Congrats on the engagement. ......to one of the posters, no I'm sorry you are not fertile 2 to 3 days before your period comes. And not 2 to 3 days after. OPKs are a good way to learn your ovulation process. Begin sex once you see fertile mucus, begin OPKs and have sex on the day your LH surge begins till the time it ends. You can have sex or masturbate the week before. There are women who withhold for two weeks prior so they can increase the volume though. Go for a progesterone blood test about 7 days after your LH surge to be sure you are ovulating. Have a ultrasound to check yourself inside too. It's fun looking at your reproductive organs on screen! Good Luck.

I've heard that when a woman orgasms that her cervix convulses allowing more sperm to pass. I don't know the percentage but still.... I don't even remember where I heard that. I always thought it was true though.

I have never heard anything like that and I can't really see it being true. More likely an old wives tale of sorts.

The time just has to be right unless one or the other is sterile.

its better if he is first, when the female orgasms her cervix moves out toward the incomming seamen.

I believe that is correct, she can come as many times as she wants as long as she does.
