Wenn du es schon so übersetzen willst, dann aber "the worst comes all by itself", ansonsten heiÃt es "das Schlechte kommt in eigener Person"
Allerdings würde ich das insgesamt anders formulieren, z.B. "You have to hope for the best because bad things need no invitation" oder "You have to hope for the best because bad things happen by themselves"
Es gibt den Spruch (in mehreren Varianten):
Planning makes good things happen; bad things happen by themselves.
good things happen on purpose, bad things happen by themselves.”
Oder sehr, sehr frei: Hope for the best, expect the worst.

Als Zitat würde ich es kürzer halten: Hoping the best, worst comes itself
