4 AntwortenPunevor 1 JahrzehntDid you influence your child in any of these ways? Any any idea who wrote this poem?
"When you thought I wasn't looking...
I saw you hang my first painting on the refrigerator,
and I immediately wanted to paint another one.
I saw you feed a stray cat, and I learned that it was good to be kind to animals.
I saw you make my favorite cake for me and I learned that little things can be the special things in life.
I heard you say a prayer, and I knew there is a God I could always talk to and I learned to trust in God.
I saw you make a meal and take it to a friend who was sick, and I learned that we all have to help take care of each other.
I saw you give of your time and money to help people who had nothing and I learned that those who have something should give to those who don't.
I felt you kiss me good night and I felt loved and safe.
I saw you take care of our house and everyone in it and I learned we have to take care of what we are given.
I saw how you handled your responsibilities, even when you didn't feel good, and I learned that I would have to be responsible when I grow up.
I saw tears come from your eyes and I learned that sometimes things hurt, but its all right to cry.
I saw that you cared and I wanted to be everything I could be.
I watched you, and I learned most of life's lessons I need to know to be a good and productive person when I grow up.
I looked at you and wanted to say, 'Thanks for all the things I saw when you thought I wasn't looking.'"
5 AntwortenPoetryvor 1 JahrzehntCan somebody please tell me who wrote this poem. And how many of us identify with it.?
Harsh Words
I ran into a stranger as he passed by,
"Oh excuse me please" was my reply.
He said, "Please excuse me too;
I wasn't watching for you."
We were very polite, this stranger and I.
We went on our way saying good-bye.
But at home a difference is told,
how we treat our loved ones, young and old.
Later that day, cooking the evening meal,
My son stood beside me very still.
As I turned, I nearly knocked him down.
"Move out of the way," I said with a frown.
He walked away, his little heart broken.
I didn't realize how harshly I'd spoken.
While I lay awake in bed,
God's still small voice came to me and said,
"While dealing with a stranger, common courtesy
you use,
But the children you love, you seem to abuse.
Go and look on the kitchen floor,
You'll find some flowers there by the door.
Those are the flowers he brought for you.
He picked them himself: pink, yellow and blue.
He stood very quietly not to spoil the surprise,
and you never saw the tears that filled his
little eyes."
By this time, I felt very small,
and now my tears began to fall.
I quietly went and knelt by his bed;
"Wake up, little one, wake up," I said. "
Are these the flowers you picked for me?"
He smiled, "I found 'em, out by the tree.
I picked 'em because they're pretty like you.
I knew you'd like 'em, especially the blue."
I said, "Son, I'm very sorry for the way I acted
today;
I shouldn't have yelled at you that way."
He said, "Oh, Mom, that's okay. I love you
anyway."
I said, "Son, I love you too,
and I do like the flowers, especially the blue."
11 AntwortenPoetryvor 1 JahrzehntDo we actually pretend on net what we are not?
I was reading an article wherein it was mentioned to discourage children to meet in real as ‘often’ people are not what they pretend on net. My question is rather questions are
1. How many of us , in your opinion, actually pretend on net what we are not.
2. If yes , why as the falsehood will be blown in one or two meetings itself.
3. Can this be the reason that who don’t hide anything on net are too willing to have
phone contacts or personal meetings.
( Please write in detail as I intend to write some thing on this in my office magazine)
