I was bouncing my tennis ball with my tennis racquet (racket, whatever...), and I began to wonder something :

What is the world record for the most consecutive tennis ball bounces, without the ball ever hitting the ground?

Today, I'm sure I didn't qualify for the record, but I got 1,547 in a row.

Is there any sort of software or program i can use (without having to buy it) in order to write an equation for a function, given a set of points?

As in:

The points (0,1) and (1,2) form the equation y=x+1

I mean, it has to be made of something. Electrons, energy, or whatever? Can anyone shed some light on the topic? ☺

I was discussing Astrophysics with my uncle, and we got to the subject of black holes. I, myself, LOVE black holes. My goal in life is to be like Steven Hawking.

Anywho, I was wondering what would happen, theoretically, if you were to pass beyond the event horizon of a black hole.

Would you be torn to shreds, crushed into a peanut, warped through time and/or space?

When you have a webpage with text on it already (i.e. Freewebs/MySpace), how do you change the text color?

Like if you had a dark background and you couldn't read it?

I know, i know, not much of a question, but i just felt the need to scream about it!!

Why is it that America is such a disgrace to the world? America is probably the most homophobic, racist, religion-hating country in the world, and that's really saying something. To add to that, America is THE fattest country on the PLANET, if not the UNIVERSE!

Americans are probablly the most ignorant people i know, and i know a lot of people. They think they are so much better than everyone else, and that everyone else is horrible and mean.

Not to mention, Bush is the most POMPOUS IDIOT i have ever heard of. He sends people over to their DEATHS in Iraq, and spends ALL of the taxpayers' money on useless things like defense to train MORE people to go to Iraq. I'm sure the next president will be even more of an IDIOT than the current one, considering the intelligence of the voting public.

Having said that, I feel much better now.

I was talking with my classmate the other day, and he said that if you are an atheist, sin doesn't apply to you. And Christians are the only ones who "suffer" from sin. Since atheists don't believe in God, and therefore don't believe in sins, how can atheism be a sin, when atheism doesn't affect christianity, and sin doesn't affect atheists?

I am currently writing a book, and I feel one of the characters must die. How should I kill him? I thought and thought about it but i couldn't think of anything worthwhile.

Any suggestions?

I know pi is an infinite irrational number with no definite pattern. So how do we know what numbers are in pi? In what order? Is there any way to know for sure what pi is?

If so then couldn't people find a pattern, memorize it, and recite pi to an infinite amount of digits?

I think it's weird how we can just "pull" pi from nowhere...

Tetraspace (fourth dimension) is where there is forward and back, up and down, left and right, and two other dimensions. It is hard, if not impossible to imagine what it would be like. If you could see tetraspace and the creatures in it, what would they look like?

I know that if you go really fast, the faster you go, the slower time progresses, and as you approach the speed of light, things completely stop. If you continue to go, faster than the speed of light, you will go back in time. But is there a way to go forward in time?
