If the authors of the 2nd Amendment wanted guns to be regulated, why would they specifically add that the right "shall not be infringed"?

at the end?

Wouldn't that be contradictory?

If not, then what shouldn't be infringed?

Aktualisiert vor 1 Tag:

James, yes the phrase "well regulated" is in the 2nd Amendment.  Followed by the word "militia."  Thus it is the militia that is supposed to be well regulated.

Now how about answering my question about why the authors wrote "shall not be infringed" after stating the right?

FYI, the phrase “well regulated” is also in the 2nd Amendment too.

We require insurance, driving tests, have seat belt laws, have laws against going out loaded and require persons to register their vehicles in which if someone moves to a new state they have to do all that over again. Why shouldn't we use the same logic for firearms?

The problem of the second Amendment when it comes to liberals is that they know in the future if they try to push hard on their socialist policies these people will guns won't let them. So that's why they want to do whatever they can to chip away at the second Amendment every time they have the majority in Congress.
