why police would like kill a dog? I saw some video on youtube and some post on here are arguing animal cruelly.?

Because some police officers know they can easily get away with murder to anyone and anything. They use their knowledge against that. They're demented. All they have to say is "I feared for my life. I thought the dog was a threat and could kill me, so I shot it." It's depressing and very disgusting but that's the generation we live in.

If the dog was indeed a threat, however, there's plenty of non-violent ways to handle that situation. Police officers don't raise their guns UNLESS THEY INTEND TO KILL.

I had to shoot dogs all the time overseas. If I am on patrol and there is an aggressive dog blocking our path. The options are to put it down, or risk one of my guys getting bitten, and having to potentially need a medevac, leaving me undermanned for the rest of the mission.

Result, dead dog.

Because the majority of folk aren't trained to deal with an aggressive dog.

If the dog is posing a serious danger to them or members of the public then it is sometime necessary to kill it, although this is usually a last resort.

1. The dog is tall enough to bite their nuts.

2. the dog is acting like it wants to bit their nuts.
